Even tho I'm 65 and can't really follow all the makeup tutorials out there, I'm enjoying your videos. I've been getting botox - conservatively - for years and I really think it is helping me not look so "tired." I think great skin care and whatever little tweaks you want to do are the best. From what I hear, the earlier the intervention the better, for a variety of reasons. One, it takes less Botox (or filler) when the lines are smaller. Secondly, if you don't have the full motion of your face, then you can't make the expressions that cause wrinkles (or make it worse).
I use Retin-A nightly, and have done so for a year. In a nutshell, they don't do squat for forehead wrinkles. They help with exfoliating and fading acne marks, but that's about it.
I appreciate that you posted this. I am 30 and I feel I don't need or want this for awhile, but it was nice to have someone give a little guidance about how to go about this. I also like that you emphasized the fact that even though it is elective it is still a medical procedure. You look beautiful, and Happy Belated Birthday!
The other injectables aren't for forehead lines. The other injectables are a wee bit more invasive, so before I moved on to fillers I wanted to see how I handled the Botox.
Could you be more specific? I do have a cut there (I actually sliced my own face open with my fingernail while getting undressed, seriously), so maybe that's what you're seeing?
You look gorgeous! I've been getting botox and fillers for almost 2 years and am so happy with the results. I tell no one because people love to judge but, hey- it's my face and I couldn't be happier with the results! Good for you!
I think its fabulous that you are so confident within yourself and make no excuses! You look great...I'm 46 and have thought a lot about my skin and face. Who knows, I just might try it!
They can if the doctor isn't careful. I expressed that concern with him as well. There is actually a few places where you can get Botox injected that will "lift" your eyelids a bit, and I'm thinking about trying that. However, that's where the constant look of surprise comes in, too.
I have Botox too but I suffer from hyperhydrosis! I sweat extremely bad under my arms when I get anxiety! I actually got the treatments approved through my insurance so it was no cost! The total would have been $800 for both arms! It's been such a blessing! I have no doubt I will eventually do this on my face! You look AMAZING!
Good for you!! It does take doing it a couple of times to get the "perfect" amount and placement--I cannot do it up on my forehead, it makes my brow/s fall, and I can't lift them up! In my very first videos you can see the difference--it was terrible, it made me want to panic--LOL--now I just get it in the middle and over the brows--I am glad you went ahead and tried it, now you know--and it you look beautiful! xoxo Lisa
Good on you!!! You did something that makes you happy and you look great:) I'm 38 and have exactly the same wrinkle issues in the same spots and I too am looking into what I can do about it. Here in Australia, procedures like this are way more expensive than in the USA. You only live once and you have to do what makes YOU happy. Congrats on the outcome, I'm glad you are happy with it.

You look wonderful! Whoever did your fillers did a great job. I haven't had Botox, but have had Restylane and Juvederm and am VERY happy with the results.

I'm curious about the fillers, too, especially because I have ONE marionette line that makeup just sits in. It's so irritating. It's something I need to research a bit, first.
Thanks for sharing Marnie!! I remember you saying how much your forehead wrinkles bothered you. Mine are tolerable at present. I was surprised to hear that it cost $300, as I thought it was much more. Please keep us posted with updates, etc. You look great and very natural. My fear is not looking like myself. IMO, so many celebrities ruined their otherwise gorgeous faces by not aging gracefully. It's good news to see that botox in the forehead takes away wrinkles but doesn't distort the face.
You look great! I've been doing it for the last couple years or so, every 4 or 5 months. Like you, I was so scared - but it's truly no big deal. I can still move everyhing on my face. As you said, it's personal preference. I've been very pleased with the outcome & have an extra boost of self-confidence. I tried fillers once (the results are immediate), but just can't afford to do that anymore. But I personally have no problem with Botox. Again, you look wonderful!
YAY....GOOD for you...I think there is NOTHING wrong with a woman making herself feel good again...Aging is not easy for women...We should all be able to live our lives and treat our bodies the way we want to...Looks great!!

I just got botox two days ago and I'm still waiting for the results. I had a lot of people tell me I shouldn't, but just like you, it's my face and I'll do what I want. Good for you. I have deep wrinkles on my forehead and it's terrible at the age of 34.
I'm so happy for you! LOVE the results!! I think it would be more noticeable if recent videos were in 720/1080, but I know what a pain uploading in HD is! Argh. I'm going in June for my first treatment of Botox (forehead) and possibly Juvederm for smile lines. I'm still on the fence for Juvederm, so we'll see. My eye has been twitching for 8 months (no joke) and when my doctor said Botox would help, it totally justified it for me. Haha! I'm so glad to hear you had a good experience! :)
I absolutely discussed this, and it was something I was concerned about. My doctor explained how he would avoid that, and what we could do if it happened, anyway. Nothing with Botox is permanent, and they have ways of reversing droopy lids. So, no, it didn't affect my lids at all, thank goodness!
I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out, but it looks great! Very natural pretty. Do what makes you happy. If there was an easy/quick fix for my acne scarring I would do it in a heartbeat!

Even though I'm from the North Shore, I haven't really lived there in 11 years, so I'm not very familiar with the doctors in that area. I'd see a dermatologist-that's who did mine.
I have been wanting to get Botox in my forehead for some time but was worried that it wouldn't actually eliminate the lines I do have, just prevent them from getting worse. This video was very helpful to me in making an informed decision about doing it. Great video-thanks and you look great!
You look great! Smooth, relaxed and well rested! People mostly think about the stiff faces, but it can look so natural (as you show), so hopefully botox gets a better reputation over time. I´ve had it for my frown lines, which I always had but they were getting deeper and I always looked sad/angry, even when my mind was blank. But the best part was that I had no migraine at all for 3 months, usually 10-13 days/month, so botox has been a huge help!

The one question I have is future injections and will having these injections now, affect your look in any strange way later? It's hereditary in my family for under eye circles and baggage. My sister had them and she told me she hated to look at people when she spoke to them because she felt they were looking at her bags. I started getting Botox on my forehead about 7 years ago because of forehead lines. I love the way it looks and have no plans to stop. Some people get manicures, some people gamble, I Botox.

Good for you! I've had Botox several times myself and I love it. And I do it just for me, not for anyone else...my husband says I am beautiful without it, but I just like the way I look when I've had it done. Definitely a personal choice!
You look great. Your body, your business. You are so right about that. Whatever it takes to make you feel better and you can afford it, I say go for it. It is nobody else's business. It took courage for you to share this but as always you are so honest and open I'm not surprised you did. It might help others who are thinking of doing Botox but were afraid.
while i know next to nothing about botox i can tell you chose a good doctor! it looks great, none of all the things one constantly hears about botox. also thanks for telling us about it, i think it's interesting and a lot of people might benefit from the information you gave (i do like the wrikles i started to get a few years ago, but who knows what happens, right? so i like hearing about the option that are availiable)

I didn't notice it because to me you always look great...not just "great for your age", but really beautiful and youthful. If you can afford it, if it makes you feel good, and your gut feeling is that it's right for you...then more power to you. Having watched your videos for awhile and knowing that you're an intelligent woman you obviously really thought it out and researched it. Good for you and thank you for sharing.

I don't honestly know how I feel about the procedure - but I will say that I have frown lines that make me look like I am ALWAYS mad at something, when actually I'm so not. Having become a grownup, and therefore having graduated from my "angry" years - I find that both ironic and annoying. :/ Anyway, I respect your decision and always love seeing your videos. I'm not insecure at all. But people need to realize that they need to get some filters. Not every thought that pops into their head needs to be shared. I'm merely sharing with them that I'm not interested in nasty criticism. Of course, there's nothing stopping them, either. I'm not sure why that is so offensive to you.

Cool! I'd love to have something like this done. Getting older is not a graceful thing for everyone. We don't all get there in a spectacular way. I'm all for those small procedures that make life a little 'prettier'!!
Wow! BOTOX done right! You look great! I've gotten freckles all over my face. My derm. says it's sun damage. She gave me retin-a but then I grew these tiny white peach fuzz hairs all over. I stopped it after 5 months. I'm hoping the hairs will go away soon. Now I need to go back to find another treatment because all the spots are darkening again. Just mins. in the sun makes them all show up dark again.

You look great! I have thought about doing this for quite a while, and seeing your positive outcome helps. My only additional question is one that you mentioned you don't know the answer to, and that's how many units were used. I am SO confused about what X number of units would even look like, so that info would be greatly helpful if you're able to get it. Can't wait to try it out myself!
