Bottega Veneta Pour Homme is a fragrance based on pine, fir, leather, and resins to create a mildly sweet, sharp fresh leathery scent. However, it's not worth your money, certainly for the price! It's simplistic, light wearing and weak with almost no projection, and you have much better alternatives like Memo Paris's Russian Leather which is worth the slight extra premium $. Trust me.

I had to comment on this. I got a sample of Memo Paris after watching this video and this is not remotely close to BV. The dry down is super powdery and reminds me of my grandma. It smells cheap! BV is very sophisticated and if you have performance issues try a few more spritz and you will smell it all day.

man im late to the party with this one, but I remember I had a smaller bottle of BV and I LOVED it, right up my alley....to each is own tho...love ur reviews big man always will

I understand that maybe it's not worth 100$, probably not,but I got it for a such a great price that I had to buy it.Smells amazing to me.Yes,lack of performance,but....Memo? Haven't tried russian leather,but that's the brand I've never seen discounted, and it's multiple more expensive than I got bottega pour homme,so it was no brainer:)

Awesome that you got it for a great price! I would have bought it too~ memo Russian leather is going for about $170 right now where the retail price is $300!

I seriously have to disagree… Bottega Veneta Pour Homme in my opinion has a unique scent profile… woody, earthy… very masculine.. decent performance on me… but like someone commented… to each his own…

Also, Guerlain Edp that supposedly smells like a mojito, reminds me a lot of Russian Leather. Very very similar. Nice video.

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Essence Aromatique is not strong but way better scent and it has a tad bit better pefrormance

Is kumkat wood similar to ormond Jayne? Russian leather sounds very interesting

Yes it gets compared to ormonde Jayne and I definitely detect a similarity, but they’re not SO close. Ormonde Jayne is much richer, a bit more powdery in the dry down overall more refined smelling but sometimes I prefer kumkat wood - it has interesting floral touches and wears a bit lighter and would work better in warmer months. Ormonde man has more of a fall spring season feel
