please don't feed kittens this much! look at the measurements, I wasn't sure what I was doing then. They ended up super healthy but just fed them a little too much at a time :)
Wrap a soft cloth around the Bottle for the Babies to "Knead" on. (Not too thin, though). It will make it easier. Its what They do to Momma. I did this with a 2 week old I Rescued. He Would Cuddle with It, too and Sleep ... So Adorable!!!
You can try a blender bottle, it has a metal ball inside to help break up any chunks. However, if you are using kitten food it shoud start out fairly smooth. I would also recommend blending it with Kitten milk replacer (KMR) slightly warm. They will get more nutrients that way and it will especially help the runt to catch up to his siblings. Any chance I could get I would try to get nutrients into my kittens. Btw: if you wrap a thin soft cloth around the bottle it will give them something to latch onto so they can kneed just like they do when thy are feeding from Mum. they find it quite comforting because it makes the process more familiar. good luck with these super cute babies
Man, I'm getting increasingly proud of my littles! When I look at other ones their age, I realize they're little angels!!! They took to wet food right away.
Lol, 2nd kitty (Josten?) was like, “Mei-oOW gimme that bottle lady I iz hangry!” Also the way those little paws helped “hold” the bottle was freaking adorable. Hope these guys are going to be okay. Bless you for your kindness to them.
when bottlefeeding i used a hand blender to blend the cat mousse into the kitty milk and make a really smooth puree when they were little .. much easier to pour and less squeezing needed. a week or two later i would also start adding pellets and also puree them in .. and occasionally a solid glop of pure thick cream butterfat ... not as much lactose as pure milk and didnt seem to upset their tummies.
Why don't you put the food in a blender and then pour it in the funnel into the bottle?? Have you thought about putting a tiny bib around their necks when feeding them?? They are too adorable. You are doing a great job!💗❤❤❤😊
