I realise that i sound so tired in the video lol 😂 my child is 15 months now so i'm a pro but i will be making another video to answer all your questions x
Thank you for this! I have a week old baby and we're still using pre-made bottles because I'm so scared. How would you make up your bottles for the day? I've got a bottle warmer so could I make the bottles up fresh, cool them in the fridge then use the warmer to warm them up? I plan on using aptamil also xxx
Hi so glad my video has helped. My lil one is almost 10 months now so i try to pre-make 5-6 bottles a day because she's on solid foods too. Aptamil has been the best milk for us honestly. I'm really careful about what my lil one eats because she has eczema. But be sure to let your fresh bottles cool down a bit before popping them in the fridge, then take it out when needed and heat using the bottle warmer before feeding. If you need any other advice just let me know and congratulations Mama! xxx
Hiya Iv just had a baby nearly two weeks ago. I was using cow and gate pre made bottles for about the first week. I now during the day make bottles up as I go and for night time I make about three bottles. I let them cool down and put them in the back of the fridge and then take one out of the fridge when baby wakes up and put it in the bottle warmer.
@@Lyricvids72 hi congratulations:) yes this is exactly what I did but sometimes just waiting for the milk to heat up takes some time 🥴 it’s all about saving time but also making sure babies milk is made safely. I just make them on the go now that my little one turned 7/8 months and now that she’s 1 she’s drinking less formula and eating more solids than before.
Naturallydre thank you. I spoke to a midwife and she said it wasn’t safe to make the formula and store in the fridge. But when working in a child care setting that’s how bottles were handled so I don’t know why it has changed
Hi they recommended that you discard of milk after and two hours I think (not 100% sure) but I found it to be easier to make at least 2-3 bottles at a time especially in the earlier stages. I made sure to let the milk cool right down then place in the fridge as the fridge helps to preserve. And generally you find that a new born tends to drink every two hours so it worked perfect for me. I would take the bottle out the fridge and place in the bottle warmer that came as a set. I think as long as you wash and keep bottles sterile and clean your hands before touching bottles, it helps to keep it all clean and avoid any bad bacteria from forming. I hope this helps!
Hi, I would always let it cool down then refrigerate them immediately. I’m not sure what they advise parents now but I tried to at least do 2 -3 at a time because it became a bit tedious making them every two or so hours 😅
Hi I wasn’t using the warmer at first. I literally was boiling hot water in a kettle and placing the water in a plastic jug, then put the baby bottle in that. I think because I was so tired I literally forgot I had a warmer. Good luck with everything xx
Hi If you guide me please I am really thankful My baby is 2 week old, on aptamil it is mentioned to give 90ml and 6 serving per day Can you please guide me by your experience how much quantity is good to go with my little one and after how many hours I feed him? Thank you
Hi Hun. Best thing to try is Organic Prunes in a fruit pouch for 4months and older baby. It worked so well for my lil one when she got constipated.....You can also add extra water to baby milk but be mindful of how much extra water you are adding to the formula. For babies under 6 months it is recommended to just give breastmilk/formula. When they get to 6 months you can add small amounts of water in addition to milk etc if needed. Hope this helps x
Aptamil is very good but too costly i cant afford it everyday,So i used Nan Pro stage 1 for my 1 month baby.. she has stomach gassy and quite trouble in sleeping too. Mam kindly suggest which formula powder is great for Baby?
Hi I also found Aptamil to be costly so I changed to Kendamil. The first milk is £10 here in the U.K. but it is 900g which I found to give me a bit more for my money. You will start to see that baby milk is most expensive during the first stages and when you get to stage 3 milk the price reduces, also your baby can start to drink normal carton milk if you’re happy to do so x
When I make formula it's not fully dissolved the the temperature they showed in the can. When it makes in high temperature it's fully dissolving.in the case of nan its dissolves the same temperature, ie .luke warm water is enough. What can I do
High the only thing with high temp is that it kills the nutrients in the milk so you would need to boil fresh water and leave to cool for 30 minutes before mixing with the milk. I find that it mixes okay but maybe let the hot water cool for 20-25 minutes then mix the powder. hopefully that helps x
Hi I normally used the milk throughout the day, never next day. So I only made around 3-4 bottles at a time just to make it as fresh as possible especially in the first few months because My little one wanted milk like every two hours 😅 couldn’t hack making bottle every two hours on the go 😅
Hi, the bubbles didn’t erk me as much but you can try - Shaking the powder first with a small amount of hot water, then add the remaining amount of hot water -Or using a spoon (clean spoon) in the bottle made a big difference. So add a small amount of hot water with powder mix well, then add the remaining amount. Hope this helps xx
Hi aptamil can be taken from birth you just have to get the right stage formula. Aptamil is like your no nonsense formula and provides your baby with the very best components especially if you aren’t able to breastfeed or baby doesn’t take to breastfeeding. I now use similac ever since my baby Turned 10 months and go between the two. Similac is equally a very good brand And tends to help fill my daughter up for her night feed before bed. Hope this helps :)
The best thing to do is follow the instructions on your baby food container. I know its confusing but they advise how many scoops and how much water to add for the age group
You need to see what the instructions on your formula say, mine is definitely equal number of scoops to ounces of water. Maybe it’s different in different counties or something x
Hi i think all babies are different. My child was growing at the normal rate, not too big or below the average for her age & height when she was weighed in at checkups. I would say babies who drink more breast milk do tend to have a bit more baby fat, but then again all babies are different.
Yes I used to do this but the water eventually cools a bit. I actually boil water and leave it for 30 mins then premake milk and store in the fridge or make fresh bottles if I need to.
@@shazzy3141 Hi yes perfectly fine depending on the formula you use. please read the formula instructions first because some will say to discard excess milk right after feed and some you can make and store in the fridge after letting it cool down. i found that it was the easiest way in the beginning with my child. i've also heard of some making formula with cold water and when ready to feed they heat it up using a bottle warmer. i'm not sure how good this is but i guess it could be okay as long as the heat is perfect enough to kill any bacteria in the milk. www.johnlewis.com/tommee-tippee-easi-warm-electric-bottle-and-food-warmer/p4097096?sku=238012747&s_ppc=2dx92700055427952390&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=Cj0KCQjwl4v4BRDaARIsAFjATPnv0J1wah_X4rRwPO0fczvbMF_ULX4IsuGRwGPAIaSzGguNdF1PDIQaAnvLEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
