You do not have to book to get paid, you make your money off bottle sales, and tips from customers/gratuity. If you do book however there is a booking fee usually for every club/lounge, and either 50% or 100% if that fee goes to you. That money is collected prior to entering the club (usually) or upon entrance at the door. For most teams now days they want girls to book to be on the schedule but not every body is going to book every week, so you’ll have a chance to be on the schedule. I highly recommend making it your goal to get regulars or book frequently to guarantee your spot on the schedule. Lmk if you have any more questions! ❤️

@@sweetestlex9757 yes there is a difference between working at clubs versus promo groups. Working with promo groups you have the option of working at different clubs/lounges weekly. While working for a club or lounge you are there weekly. Honestly both have pros and cons, but if you’re on a bad promo team it can make working suck. I would say if you want to be in one location apply for lounges/clubs, but if you want to work at multiple locations, go with a promo group. To be transparent I started when I was 23/24, and there was a girl on our promo team that was damn near 30, and we used to talk about her 😩 (not saying it’s right), and now I’m damn near 30 years old still working, so don’t let other people define what is too old to work in this industry you decide when you want to go, if it’s paying your means, and you enjoy working shiddd work, but always have a backup plan! Just in case things don’t work out. And girl you’re fine, ask away!!! ❤️❤️❤️

@@JessicaHaynie yeah im a nurse and thing about moving to houston next year ill be 27 , but I thought it would be a good way to meet people .... if your a transplant and know no one would it be easier to work for a specific club? could you do a video mayb on pros and cons of a promo group and work for just 1 club?

Hey girl, no when I first moved I did not know anyone. I’m nvm it took me a long time to book. But I will say a good portion of the people I book were complete strangers. I made a video about booking if you want to check it out. But basically you have to use your social media platforms to promote yourself, you have to network with other people, start going out, meeting new people! When you do work a section that is not yours get their info, somebody birthday in that section coming up, and you being their bottlegirl and providing great customer service, they might book with you. Get regulars who want to book with you! Create your own specials when promoting, etc. Girl I just recorded a video about colorist in this industry! It’s getting out of hand and it’s very disappointing, but don’t give up! It’s teams/clubs out there who do not discriminate.
