Bottlenose Dolphin in the South Atlantic & Gulf waters feeding from experimental devices being tested by the University of Georgia Marine Extension Service & Texas A&M University (Sea Grant). Dolphins were recorded catching fish escaping the trawl through the opening of the Bycatch Reduction Device or BRD. Also observed was feeding outside & inside the TED extension. Dolphins were observed lifting the flap of webbing covering the escape hole to gain entrance into the net while under tow. This is a summary video of some of the fish captured. Unauthorized use of the footage is strictly prohibited.
