This inspired Rich Boy Clothing to assemble a team of misfits from both sides of the Atlantic, notably Cape Town and Los Angeles to help heal the hurt. Hef The Chef’s old school hip-hop beat layered with soft-rock sensibilities affirm the base for EjayCPT’s gravelly soul, Phifty Cal’s swag and Kulture’s chaotic mayhem. Each verse describing the writer’s struggle with untruthfulness in a romantic relationship. The emotional void is not bound by language and so Hunter’s Afrikaans (South African Language) chorus speaks to the cycle of addiction. Addiction to substances and people and the pain they effectuate.
