I like to pull a small floating crank bait on a bouncer in my kayak. I let the bouncer hang a moment on the bottom and then shoot forward as it breaks free.

What is the advantage of a3 way rig over a bottom bouncer or vice versa?

I dont like the plastic slider qick change as you call it. I use a spinner blade metal coil spring quick change. I put a bead at both end to help keep line centered and beads deflect, sluff off debris. I can change different weight slick sticks fast.The bad thing about the Northland plastic sider, is after a few Rod removals, it wears down the hook cleat, and you could use a slick stick Rod. Ask the design Team, to make a better design for " SECURE" , But easy Removal. I just came up with my own solution.
