The island has just voted by 98% to become an independent nation and I decided this is the right time to drop in and check out this new country. Even though the result must be ratified by the PNG government, I believe this will become the world's newest country thus making it my 114th.

There are so many beautiful places in Papua New Guinea. Mainland and Paradise islands. Always do prior arrangements and have a tour guide. You will enjoy.... Thanks for making this beautiful video.

I hope these drones don't disrupt and annoy the local people too much. The island with the 'single tree' was called Two Tree Island. I visited it as a child in the 1970s.

The Arovo Island used to have a very luxurious resort during the good old days, but in your videos of the island can only see the concrete remains of what used to be the pier. I think the buildings were completely destroyed during the crisis that took more than a decade.
