Bougainvillea Bonsai Tree  

Bougainvillea is a genus of ornamental flowering plants that are native to South America. It was first discovered by the French botanist Philibert Commerson in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the 1768. The name Bougainvillea was named after his sailor friend, the French Navy Admiral, Louis Antoine de Bougainville.
This looks like more than 50 year old Bougainvillea Bonsai tree. It was a discarded tree. I was fortunate to rescue this and grow this from a huge cutting. Its known for its beautiful and colorful blooms. It has been with me for 10 years. I keep imagining if every house has one bougainvillea 🌳 how colorful earth would look.
