All the Google searching to find this out and I see this by accident lol. Thanks for the information this is what I wanted to know because there is a different model of fridge that they make that uses this power pack and didnt really want to have the fridge and battery both using the 12 power in the vehicle at the same time so it dosen't blow fuses on that circuit due to the age of my vehicle. I guess the question is can you do this same thing but plugged into the 12v in the car instead of a wall outlet?
You probably have a 10A fuse in the vehicle which is perfect to run both. I should be getting the actual battery for this fridge soon. Further testing with that soon. 👍
@Roll2Videos yeah the fridge you have there has a battery that goes inside the fridge but does that one charge when it's in the unit and the unit is plugged into the wall or the 12v in the car. I'm looking at buying one of these cooler/fridge units but don't want to have to charge the battery separately if I don't have to...and I don't plan on getting the solar panel.
Same here, I couldn't even find that answer on RU-vid reviews. I just ordered the cppro20, battery, cover, 50w solar. It came to $442 bundled total. $473 after shipping. This will go in my semi on freeze to keep my precooked prefrozen carnivore foods frozen until I heat them in my 12v hotbox in the truck. I will test it labor day weekend and week after on a 5 or 6 day camping trip. Thanks for answering that question that everyone else overlooks
Did the battery come with a DC charger? I just ordered mine and would love to run this setup in car so it kicks over when I stop on trips and stays running
