Way back when I used to float mud in showers to set tile on, we added lime to mix as well, helps the mix retain water, make it mo' sticky. Generally it was 40 shovels of fine sand, 1 bag of portland cemet, half bag of lime, 2 1/4 buckets of water roughly. For shower floors, it was just sand and cemet w/ as little water as possible, called it dry pack.
Yeah them concrete mixers are a nice investment. Where I live in Missouri the place in my home town makes the danuser attachments. They sure take the back work outta of it. Not all the way but some.
A mull mixer like that is generally used for mortar not concrete. The gravel gets pinched between the liner and the paddles. Also I'd use a measured amount of water like in a 5 gallon bucket even if it's only 2 or 3 gallons as you get used to mixing batches you learn how much water to add by looking at the bucket level instead of the garden hose. Normal every day concrete is 5 sacks per square yard which is 27 cubic feet. You did a good job as you did, I was just talking about taking the guess work out of it by measuring.
This "miracle wonder contraption " is SO UN-PROSISE it will be a "miracle " anthing less than 8" thick will crumble, crack, deteriorate & granulate in 45seconds flat the second after it cures.
I have a bored well. When they install them they are required to seal the voids around the concrete casing, but they never did mine. My tank and pump was slowly sinking and the dirt was filling the bottom of my well. When I replaced the tank, I jacked up the house, set everything on beams and poured concrete I mixed by hand in a 5 gallon bucket. IDK how many 60 lb. bags I used, but my back felt every.last.one.of.them! Last project I rented a Home Depot spinning mixer. If I had more projects I would consider a 3-point hitch type, but I'll stick to renting for now.
That’s a pretty handy unit, I like the way you do product reviews and show how they work or don’t work (side shoot) need a ramp for one side to get that to work. Thanks for sharing Sam, no really I can’t wait to barrow that bad boy🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Well I'm impressed!! Never saw one b4!! I've got a rusty old barrel spinner, that was rusty and old when I got it 35 years ago! It's got my blood and sweat all over it, and still works, darn it! LOL That one is really sweet!! 8) --gary
More cement and more water, makes the mix creamier so it flows better, easier to float and gives you a stronger mix. First time using it is always a learning experience but after a few more times you'll have a process figured out that will make it much easier.
Andrew also creates more issues that he has to fix by beating on his equipment. Watching him “fix” stuff on his dodge truck is absolutely painful. Love his channel don’t get me wrong he’s a dang good equipment operator but dang is he hard on his stuff.
@@robwalters9695 a friend of mine lives close in the vicinity of where he does business he reached out to him trying to find out about doing some driveway work.. he never returned the call on the third call he actually got him on the phone explain to him what he was looking for and he said I don't have time for you and then hung up on him.. that should tell you a lot about Andrew's character? This is customer base and potential customer base like he treats his equipment...
Looks good. Just curious how do you get air in the second tank? Are they both tied together up top so the air charge from the pump kicking on equalizes both tanks or is the air in the first tank enough to push that much volume of water for both tanks. We where thinking about doing something similar but ended up just looking at larger presser tanks.
What the hell will they come up with next it's rebel and sons land in tree clearing and now driveway makers lol oh yeah and 12 valve restorations 👍🏽🇺🇲🇺🇲 that's a long resume
I had to laugh when I saw your "outdoor" pressure tank and above ground feeder pipes. If I had this setup I'd have no water from mid November to late April.
