We filmed this at Montgomery Bell State Park just down the road from where we live.
Fun fact:
We were there with Sam's Mom & our cousin Diane from Alabama...we got a fire goin' in the outdoor fireplace & proceeded to start filmin,' took a quick break & then, realized we were locked out of the cabin they were staying in!;) Needless to say, it was good that we had a fire in the fireplace 'cause it was a rather chilly night!;)

Back in 1975, this is the song that blasted thru all walls. We sat on the floor at Long Beach State and listened to her for the first time. We had the album a week earlier and enjoyed every note she sang and played.

Hey Robert. Thanks for the compliment! I use Pro Tools to record. If I remember correctly, I did 1 or 2 tracks of my Santa Cruz OM acoustic, Upright bass (either an old Kay or a sample triggered with an electric bass), a Takamine nylon string guitar and a Telecaster through a Strymon Iridium and a Line6 M9. Vocals were cut on a U47. I think that's everything.

@@connectedatthehit Okay that 'splains why the vocals are so clear. The U47. Holy Crap. I sold all my amps, effects my Taylor and my strat years ago, stopped playing out, and started road cycling more. But I came back. I just got aother Yamaha, an FG 830 and have been busking in a local park , which is a blast . Been looking at USB mics a lot , not high end ones, some sound awesome, others sound awful. For now, working on getting reasonably good sound OUTDOORS which is a challenge , but boom mics and maybe just a Zoom thing might do OK. During Covid , on American Songwriter, I saw some pretty reasonable home recordings and livestreams, done by Nashville Cats (in their pajamas) on smartphones , which was a surprise. My main OCD freakout is when an acoustic guitar sounds like a 747 taking off and/or its all "clippy". Oh I haaate that. thanks so much for the help, I went on Sweetwater to learn all this new tech. They've been very good to me lately. Liked, shared, I have to re-watch that. After I "get back up" after falling out of my chair hearing that. lol . Peace out .

@@connectedatthehit Thanks man, it's been really fun, been teaching some millennials some basic theory and hoping one stays sober enough to finally graduate college. Busking ( 3 bucks an hour lol) is fun but bizarre , you never know what's gonna happen. I have more fun doing that now, than dealing with the bar scene and stuffy coffee shops. (with masks on) . I'm getting older, so time to pass the torch. This digital recording thing is a huge learning curve , I did it before on a Tascam 8 track. for now it's baby steps. A pre-amp that's an interface, oh but wait it's a pedal too. Sigh.
