Bouncer Trail is a Blue / Intermediate run accessed from the American Eagle chairlift in Copper Mountain's Center Village. There are a number of Intermediate runs at Copper Mountain and Bouncer falls right in the middle of them for the fun and challenge factors. Be prepared for fast flats, rolling terrain changes and steep pitches. Bouncer is an entertaining trail, top to bottom.

Hey Dog, I don't know if it is a manpower issue, but I have noticed that grooming is not as good as it was last year. It may also be a lack of snow thing. Maybe grooming gets you back to dirt faster. Anyway, I agree, Bouncer isn't as much fun. Maybe the two storms this weekend will improve conditions and they will knock some of the bumps off Bouncer so us non bump skiers can enjoy it again. As of 2/6/23 it appears that bouncer has been taken off the list of runs that see groomers. Not much natural snow so the groomers need to stay off. Even after the big storms from last week. If you like bump skiing, then Bouncer is ideal. Did not see any hazards coming through the snow. Maybe the groomers will hit it again some time soon, but for now it is a bump run. Pray for snow!

Yeah Bouncer gets icy like that IF it’s groomed. It should be marked black now because it is all bumped up and often ungroomed.

Hey Joe (Hmmm... good title for a song) I remember in the good old years gone by that all the runs off American Eagle were groomed. You could cruise anything at high speed with no worries. Now the very top of Main Vein and Bouncer are ungroomed and get pretty tough all the time. At least those two get a few bumps above the center village for the hard core folks. can you recommend a couple of less challenging blue runs at Copper after doing the greens by Lumberjack?

Hi Nancy, Thanks for the visit. Lumberjack has some of the best beginner runs in Colorado. I think a good progression would be to move over to Center Village and get on the American Flyer chairlift. At the top you will want to head straight back down on High Point and then veer right to take carefree back down to the base of American Flyer. Admitted, it's all green except for the last pitch of carefree, but it is doable. That run will get you warmed up. Take American Flyer back to the top and take the cat walk over to the top of Timberline Express. Take Windsong Trail down to the bottom of Timberline Express. Ride Timberline back up and Tame American Flyer Trail back Down. From the top of Timberline you can also take a look at Copperfield. Usually the right side of Copperfield is groomed so it is also a nice run. All the runs I mentioned are usually groomed nightly. If the Sierra lift is running and Timber Ridge is open, do that. It is groomed and the views are amazing. If you go up American Eagle a good groomer is Main Vein back down to the base although it is a popular run and gets a little crowded. My all time favorites off the Superbee chair are Collage and Andy's Encore. Both are groomers with lots of room. Andy's Encore does have some steeps pitches but there are no bumps. Collage is a nice runner top to bottom with no big pitches. Hope that helps. Check out the area map to see where these runs are. Then go have some fun.
