When I was writing the character of Riley, I sort of thought the same thing. I think it's because she doesn't really care if the women she's flirting with are gay or not. She does this a lot: sleeps with hotel guests. And of course, sometimes it doesn't work out in her favor but she tries anyway just in case there's a chance.
Lmfao🤣 That right there crossed boundaries🤣 I envision the hotel hottie paying a visit to England asap. They probably marry and have children. Sister will be wedding planner and maid of honor. Actually, a part 2 would be fun😂
Hmmm...so what exactly is your intention here, ms livewithintention, and what karma do you hope to attain with your negative comment? U happened to get several likes, but at what cost?
Wish my hotel trips were this entertaining. As someone who is single and Bisexual (questioning gay) I would love if I bumped into a cute girl who wanted to hang out with my introverted ass lol 😂😍
It’s the boldness of that worker for me... maybe that’s why the title is all cap BOUNDARIES 😟 I was fearful someone would get (rejected) I’m always cautious of boundaries. I’m scared of getting beat up!
I feel targeted...this is kinda exactly me and my sister. Me the skinny gay introverted one always in black just because, and my straight extroverted sister who always dresses up and is extremely good at making friends. 🤭😑
Wow...I love this story line and definitely wanted more of Carly and Riley's story! Great acting all around and the girls were so cute together I was hoping for a happy ending...still keeping my fingers crossed for them!❤
I like this short film! Does anybody else feel like, instead of getting mad and kinda going off on her about things, that she could have just asked if it was still no strings attached, or something more, and then let her know that she felt like it was becoming something more? I just feel like she could have saved herself some stress and anger by doing that.
but y'all just accepted gene kelly's accent in mary poppins? lol. not gonna lie tho i was shook at 3:18. like OH... ok. then she comes through with the flowers and date plans the next day AND followup plans to hang at her apartment. then she goes "wait, you're mad?" she is a gemini or a sagittarius for sure.
that's so funny that you mentioned that because me and the actors spoke about what zodiac signs they thought the characters were before we started filming!
No strings attached obviously meant different things to them individually. I don't understand the black girl's anger either. She didn't have to accept either invitation to hang if she wanted to just keep it at just a one night stand kind of thing. Someone being kind, flirty, or even wanting another go around doesn't signal, "I want a relationship."
I love this lesbian story...It's delicate and I find Riley very brave ..I like the way Riley flirt with Carly. My favourite moment it's when Riley kisses Carly for the first time ❤ and also when Riley and Carly walk around the city Thank you for this video 👍
I just started my sophomore year of high school and just realized I was full on lesbian and not bisexual it was pretty big I came out to my parents and they said “well it lowers the risk of teen pregnancy”😂
Anger seemed a little outsized for the circumstance. Carly willingly goes on adventures with a woman who is attracted to her, they have all the great sex, and then she gets pissed off because Riley refuses to kick her to the curb and treat her like dirt? On what planet!?!? Riley is affectionate, generous and respectful. These are NOT things to get angry over!
There are lots of British actors in the USA... the accents were so unnecessary. On the bright side it’s good to finally see some POC British acknowledgment from the diaspora
Hiya! I chose to have them be English so that there was the conflict of them not living in the same country. And that this was just supposed to be a vacation for Carly, not anything more than that.
@@Dave102693 That's very true but there was also some of my experience with someone from the UK lol. But yes, I could've done Canada or another country.
@@Dave102693 It could have been from Australia; Jamaica; China or Haiti too..BUT it's from England it's her show she decided it will be from England so it's that's where the traveler was from.
It's pretty risky to have actors use accents when there's (presumably, since it's a short film on the lower end of the budget scale) little to no possibility of hiring an accent coach for any significant amount of time. Probably not a choice I'd make if I were making a short film. But I have to admit, I've heard far worse attempts at british accents than this.
If I go to a hotel and the waitress invites me over to go around with me….the first thing that will strike my head..” I hope she is not a serial killer”…..:D
Uhm and I’m guessing the ending should have been 😒 instead of 😏 tf?! But a player is a player no matter who they are... and sadly the Brit DID know what she was getting herself into. Time to get back on the ✈️ babes!!!
Very odd ending; was hoping for something better. I feel like things were resolved way too quickly. Felt like it was cut off in the middle to the end of the film. Other than that, I enjoyed everything else about it. Story, acting, characters, etc. :)
I mainly wanted to keep the ending open to interpretation! and also, this film was created because of a college assignment so it was only allowed to be 12 minutes so I was a bit restricted. But thank you for your kind words! 💕
I agree, it was odd. And in response to the creator- I feel a better ending would be for them to split off permanently. Have the ending not be a “happy” one. It would have been more realistic.
I realise my opinion doesn’t matter, and that films like this are necessary and nice, and I’m not trying to bring anyone down; however I just felt like this was really unrealistic and that the mc wouldn’t get angry at the hotel employee- for something she AGREED to do? Like she agreed to hang out with her and she could’ve easily said no. And then when they make up at the end.... what?? Why? There was no resolution to the issue as far as I can see. They simply ignored the problem, or just didn’t talk about it in as much depth as they should’ve. Sorry if this taints anyone’s view on this film.
