In my traveling life nothing quite says “I am home” like a visit to the local food market.
I visited “les Halles” (Tours’ covered food market) this morning and started filling the fridge.
Here’s what I brought home:
Pommes jazz
Pommes Belchard-Chantecler
Poire Bartlett
Raisins italiens sans pépin
plat: Boudin aux pommes
Laitue Batavia
Ciboulette
Pain aux noix
Fromages: Trèfle du Perche (chèvre,) Fromage aux Noix, tomme de brebis corse
Ah, c’est bon d’être à la maison!

I'm glad to now know the word for 'chives'! Thanks for a quick lesson.

We got big lettuce like that in Fontainebleau. It took us a while to eat it, because it was only two of us. Reminded me of Butter lettuce I grew in my garden, but not as compact.

I would love to see you do a video of all the interesting minority languages spoken in certain regions that you travel to, like Breton (brezhoneg). I know there aren't that many but its fun to know about them. Love your channel!
