I'd suggest a more tactical approach. Instead of chaotically improvising tours for mixed results and the same type of content...this is an ideal opportunity to expand the depth of content. Do more advance research to ensure youre return first off. Contact locations in advance, see about virtual tours. Also, instead of all the travel...pick spots that have other community appeal and relevance to the history of American whiskey, bourbon, rye and ale. This way instead of driving twelve hours in a vague direction with many stops for similar content...you minimize travel essentially to a confined area, streamline efficiency, and have the luxury of time to actually EXPERIENCE the places you visit. I'm gonna keep saying it til you do it lol...come to Sioux City, Iowa. We are equidistant from Omaha and Sioux Falls and are centrally located on I 29 north and south...and just 90 minutes from I 80 east and west. Thus, it actually makes a near ideal spot to hit no matter which direction you're headed around the country. We have a very unique historical role in Capones prohibition operation, including his personal wine cellar....though mudslides have buried it now. We have a one of a kind bar in "The Whiskey Hole" that would be an ideal setting for a local sampling of only premium and rare bourbon, rye, straight whiskey, etc. Additionally Sioux City hosts THREE local breweries that dabble in distilling and it's highly likely at the Whiskey Hole you would get inside information on all things bourbon regionally that you otherwise wouldn't know exists. America is plum full of great communities like Sioux City...and Brewzle could truly take a major leap forward evolving from a novelty booze testing show to a bourbon centered focus on the communities and history of things like Appalachia moonshine, Iowa Corn whiskey, high mountain rye. Matter of fact if you agree to come to Sioux City I'll even do your research and find ONE community in each state to showcase. This way everyone wins and the entire country can be represented while creating a superior product and brand. Brewzle is more than just booze, and it should reflect that right?
My wife & I love grabbing take out and watching your videos. She has started to gain an interest in whiskey because of you. We both would appreciate longer videos!
I don’t like whiskey but I enjoy seeing your enthusiasm to cover a country the size of yours to find hidden gems , love from 🏴🏴🏴🏴
That first store is nuts. We have Specs down here and there are many of them. There are a few that have stores like that, most of them are emptied out supermarkets that have been remodeled. They are huge. I used to get a keg every 2 weeks for my palapa. I don't drink anymore but love your content. Awesome videos! I can live my bourbon journey through you vicariously.
Total Wine and more are absolutely awesome liquor stores they always have a massive selection of everything and in every price range. Was in there yesterday and have bourbons in every style from $20 up to $5000.
If you're traveling West on highway 90 you can pass all the way through Minnesota. I have heard there is a good store in La Crosse, WI called Woodman's but I've never been there.
Gotta try sometime from Rock Town . They use locally sourced grains, and have some new stuff coming out. Also one of my favorites is their Arkansas sour mash.
Try the Whiskey Del Bac at 3:50 . The classic is an American Single Malt, while the Dorado is a mesquite smoked American Single Malt. Both are fantastic for the $50-$60 price range.
High-alcohol beers can last a number of years (8-10). That said I would recommend drinking within 3 - 5 years for "cellaring beers" - people always try to age beer too long and often have them go off before they get drank.
Not sure if you like Rye, but you cruised right by the Hughes Belle of Bedford Rye. Best Rye i have ever had....incredible. Its to Rye what Old Carter is to Bourbon...its that good.
Seeing Evan W. Single Barrels on the shelf for $50 just hurts! That’s on top of them only being available in liquor stores in KY now. Only sold nationwide to bars and restaurants. Those were $32 everywhere, until early this year when they were pulled from nationwide distribution in order to promote 1783. For the life of me, I will never understand marketing.🤣
Enjoyed the video. Just subscribed. Will be watching more. Do you ever drive into small towns looking for bourbon? I have and have found great stuff. Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, Weller, Booker, Trace, etc. The owners said the locals just buy JD and Beam. It was funny.
I was wondering how long until you decided to say the Hell with liquor in Cincinnati and go across the river to Party Source. That place has everything you could want for a party with spirits and brews.
Love the guy looking for a recommendation. Says his wife doesn't like ryes but she likes Blanton's which is their high rye mash bill. Basically she likes it because it's rare and you're supposed to like it
The Fort Hamilton rye bottles are pretty good. Had a flight tasting at their distillery in NY and I really enjoyed it especially that whiskey thief cask strength tasting. Delicious spice.
You should stop in Manhattan Kansas and give me a shout and I’ll take you to the liquor store my Bourbon group patronizes… Would love to go shopping with ya!!
I personally prefer it when you try the bottles at the end of the video. I think when you do the live streams I find it difficult to follow where you bought each bottle. I like the format though where you’re at the bar trying them out (obviously the production quality is better than the hotel). Even if took longer to produce these videos because you’re combining the hunting along with the tasting at your home, I would watch all of the videos as opposed to only the hunting ones which I currently do. Just my feedback
