Definitely looking forward to your assessment of those 5 bottles. The only pre-mixed Old Fashioned I've tried is the On The Rocks bottle. It's not bad but I needed to add a little simple syrup to smooth it out. The On The Rocks pre-mixed Manhattan is great.
I seen that pinhook is a castle and key product. Looking to pick up the black label bottle that was 118 proof. Also seen an old fashioned in a small black can.
I take premixed Old Fashioneds with me camping. My preference is for the Knob Creek, although Bulleit is just as good. I've never seen the other bottles you picked up.
2XO is the current blend from the previous head blender at Kentucky Owl, last name is Dixon, can't remember his first name. I haven't had the chance to try any, but at that price, it's a try before you buy. But, I've heard nothing but good things about it.
St Augustine Distillery makes a bourbon called The Saint. They take their bourbon and finish it in barrels that had held their old fashioned mix. Obviously the bourbon takes on some of the flavors of the mix. It is good, but pricey at $200. I’m not sure if it’s sold outside of Florida.
Great video again! Don't buy into the Jefferson's marketing. Outside of the story there's not much to say about it. Same goes for Castle & Key and Blackened. We've had Ingram's before and its decent, but nothing remarkable. Definitely try Blade & Bow before you buy it - we didn't like it. Kentucky 10 is decent, but nothing remarkable. Old Scout is decent, but falls kind of flat for the price. I'd be interested in seeing a review of the Handy & Schiller old fashioned. It's basically just barrel aged Sazerac juice and we've been on the fence about it for awhile. Blue Note uncut unfiltered is absolutely crazy value. 2X0 American Oak is really decent for the price point and a well done "stave aged" double oak. Chattanooga Malt Rye is ABSOLUTELY nuts and tastes like bell pepper and light caramel. Holladay is a value buy all day long, don't sleep on it. Yellowstone varies wildly from label to label, but the store picks are nuts and crazy good value if you like high proof wheaters than can contend with Antique 107. If you want a single pour of a whiskey that tastes like a cocktail by itself, I recommend Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey. They take previously used bourbon barrels, scrape out the inner char, re-char the barrel and fill it again. On top of it being low entry point/exit proofs, they heat cycle 4 times a year and it yields a ridiculously smooth product.

@BondingOverBourbon So happy and refreshing to see someone else calling out Jefferson's, Castle & Key, Blade & Bow and Blackened. I couldn't agree more. All just marketing and gimmicks. I've yet to have a Jefferson's I've liked. I'd also add Booker's and most of Buffalo Trace's lineup to that list. Booker's based on the last couple of years of releases. BT has decent bourbon but absolutely none are worth the hunt (due to their allocation practices) or the markup due to it. Plenty of better available bottles out there. Yes, Yellowstone bottles are ridiculously hit or miss. I also only buy store picks of their bottles now. A hugely much better experience. Also agree with your Michter's and Holladay suggestions. Both are buys all day every day. The 2XO American Oak is just OK. Once you have the Tribute Blend, you'll be using the American Oak as a mixer.
I have the angel envy bourbon, it showed me that I don’t like wine finished stuff , maybe the rye is good but I definitely won’t get wine finished stuff in the future

BIttermilk Old Fashioned Syrup. 8.5oz bottle, put 1/4 - 1/2oz in your glass, add your bourbon, stir and enjoy. It's fantastic stuff. Buy it, if you don't like it, I'll shoot you the money back for the purchase, it's that good. They also sell them in .5oz bottle single servings. Can not recommend that more highly!

Still love your content. Difficult to determine the correct path to go...100 different bottles from 100 individual distilleries, or 100 different bottles from 30 individual distilleries. I would recommend staying focused on fewer distilleries as I think it will make both of us better at tasting and selecting good pours. Stick with what you know...and especially what you like. Just my opinion, but it is nice to become passionate about a few good bottles/distilleries rather than spreading yourself too thin. A good man can only drink so much bourbon each day. Best of luck, you've got a great presentation and a wonderful voice.

Grab the Cooper's craft while it's still around if you want one. Word is that it's getting phased out. So Brothers Bond is a celeb whiskey thats pretty decent by all accounts, made by the two lead actors from The Vampire Diaries TV show, fitting since all they did was drink bourbon and never age.
Man get that Ezra Brooks 99 for 25 bucks. I think you're paying the same thing for the wheel horse for 25 bucks. Those are two good bottles. Man. Very unique taste on that. Ezra Brooks

pass on the blade and bow. not impressive. some like but its just not worth it either... remus picks and the remus repeals are pretty solid. Find you a rr sb store pick but either way they are really good.
