lived close to that beach briefly from September 1979 to January 1980 ... was a student @ BPC ... lovely place indeed! one of the most beautiful towns and places in the world ... never got the chance to go explore other areas of the Dorset though, which i heard a lot about in the day ...
I have had two wonderful years here in Bournemouth. Realy gonna miss this place so much, i may return in the future but for now its farewell and on to pastures new.

Thank you for these great pictures! We have spent four weeks holiday in Cornwall in June 2014. On the way back to Germany, we made a stop of three days in Bournemouth - it was a godsend! A very nice place which we liked immediately. Especially the beach is terrific! I'm also down with the balloon. A great city. We remember very often. I have never visited. I would genuinely love to come to visit Bournemouth although its a bit of a treck from North Yorkshire! One thing I will say is give me Bournemouth over Sandbanks any day of the week.
I have spent 3 and a half years of my life as a Londoner & I visited Bournemouth Beach 4 times. I really Loved Bournemouth . Now im living in my own country Bangladesh.This beautiful video makes me feel so nostalgic! . Thanks Rick
John Bell. We have about 7 miles of fine, sandy beaches, split between Bournemouth and neighbouring Poole. From Hengistbury Head in the East to Sandbanks in the West. Beat that, Brighton!
Nice work you have to fly round Old Harry and the Studland Bay cliff area next time :) People don't appreciate the beautiful Islands we live in, the beaches here and in Studland are as good as any in the world.
This could be the best footage ive seen of our Town ever! beautiful and great music choice Richard!! Would you object to us using in our Church before a service? we have no windows in our centre and so we play video loops of the town on our screens to sort of a give an 'Outside feel'. We would slo like to use it as a backdrop whilst we pray for our town...something we do every week. Would you be happy to grant permission? Thanks so much...and again...great job!!!

Not knocking the place I live but the best and safest beach is about 4 miles further West - Shore Road - Poole. Water also shallower and safer for children.

Really great video here. You captured the beach very well. You must have flown it so far away, and so high from you that it's a wander that you could still see The Phantom/ know where it was? (Forgive my ignorance, it's the first time I've seen one of these haha!) Bournemouth is superb anyway, cheers.

Please keep in mind the maximum legal height for a drone is 400ft. I am a private pilot and came within a 100m of being taken out by one at 2400ft today! INSIDE Bournemouth controlled airspace. Please keep us safe and keep yourself legal.
