Dressing as a bat in the promo look doesn't mean your whole character is a bat. Poor Throb got ragged on for their choice of walk because no one knows yet that they mix burlesque into their drag and was doing a tippy toe kind of effect for the bat look. Throb didn't not know how to walk in the heels, it was an artistic choice. I feel like if these promo looks had the interviews attached then people wouldn't have been so weird about Throb Zombie's look because without the context of burlesque being built into their drag.... we get takes like these. Ork doesn't look like a common anything. The club kid boots are Demonias, not customized and tall as skyscraper boots. Like Dahli wore almost only boots for season 4 and was fine, Landon also wore a fuck ton of boots, they both have crowns. The beef they had with the club kid boots is that they are store bought in a mall, it's the lowest amount of effort to give. I feel like way too many people missed the point of what the Boulet's were complaining about when they said "club kid boots" and just assumed any platform now is an automatic elimination. It's like Kendra said ... those boots are sky walkers. It's not the same as the mass-produced hot topic boots with no modifications like Formelda had on. I'm so annoyed I had to hear "I've seen this before" about someone looking like THAT and doing THOSE movements in the background. Like TELL ME WHICH VENUE TO GO TO because I wiiiish I saw this more.

the comment about orkgotik looking like they're going to a rave was SPOT ON. They said in their meet the monsters video that their goal with the prize money was to be a filmmaker and that they wanted to use it to direct a feature horror movie. I personally feel they can pursue whatever they want but that doesn't prove to me that they're like a DRAG DRAG artist. They're more of a visual adjacent artist and thtey dabble in visual art. but they're not living fully the DRAG MONSTER experience that drag queens and kings do ie blood, sweat, and tears for a career in drag.
