I've seen other videos about your RL-2 sights come with different size sight rings. Is that true because mine did not. If you do have different size sight rings, how would I get one?
My third video today where you don’t know how a peep sight works. I’m An old man and back before HOUSINGS, we have a flat plate with 4 pins sticking through it. No housings. The peep is just to LOOK THROUGH..... PRRIOD! You do not align it around anything. You stare at the pin you plan to use and your BRAIN aligns it in the center for you. Now if you align with your housing, the pin that will be the clearest for you, will be the one Closest to the Center of that housing. So this is a step everyone today is adding that does lot need to be. Nose buttons are a waste of time also. If you have a good solid anchor, like I anchor my knuckles behind my jaw bone, that’s one point. Then the peep. That’s two points, then your sight PIN, that three points of reference. That more than enough. Peep size should only depend on your lighting situations. Now those with the changeable apertures are a great option. In early deer season with all the leaves still on, it’s darker in the woods. When the Leaves are all gone, you can switch out to a slightly smaller peep. Again, a peep is only a hole to look through. That’s it. Remember the movie Quigly Down Under? He had that rear elevated peep and a front iron sight with just a bead on it. No globe like today’s target rifles. An archer peep is the same. You simply look through it and stare at the pin you plan to use. Again, I am an old man and was shooting peeps on rifles long Before I was shooting a bow. All peeps work the same way. JUST look through it. That’s it. Let your brain take over and do the rest.
Question- I’ve got 3/16 peep and still see space around my sight housing. I also have my CBE Tactic Micro as close to my bow as it can go . What should I do??
