it seems like having more zones (feeding, drinking, resting) causes more animals to spawn in a given area

That weird stampede you had is a bug that tends to happen when two need zones of different species, not including rabbits, spawn. Had a similar thing happen where I literally stood in tree cover and blasted 6 deer with the .44 mag because they wouldn't leave the area....after returning because I'd gotten trampled earlier.

I’m quite new to the game... can anyone explain what the gold/diamond etc relates to. Is it size/rarity of animal or to do with how accurate you kill it? Thanks 🙏

Its basically the total score. So you get bonuses for quick kill, integrity, and consecutive harvests. If the 3 of those are at 100% they total to 500. The other half is the trophy rating, basically, as a percentage of the maximum trophy rating, then multiplied by 500. So a max trophy rating animal with all bonuses scores 1000, which is the highest possible score. An animal with 0 trophy rating score 500, because of the bonuses, and anything in between is the percentage I mentioned :)

Hes using feeding and drinking zones if you struggle to find animals check out how to build up zones it will change your game dramatically

That blacktail bonanza! hehe. "I took a break and consec dropped off" Just a f*cking b*llsh*t system, and so damn bugged, one of the reasons I kinda lost interest in CotW. Some nice shooting tho, as always :)

Thanks man! Yea consecutive harvests is a weird mechanic in a hunting game. If they have to have 3 bonuses, I'd rather something more related to ethical hunting than just a random required number of kills before harevesting

The consecutive harvest is to create the aspect of shooting and finding the kill. Pretty "ethical" if you ask me. Shooting something and leaving it to die as it will is not ethical by any means.

When you harvest an animal in a certain Spot it will apply hunting Pressure. So animals will avoid that area for a while

If you shoot an animal and don't claim it, then end the session, it resets, which apparently I did between those two parts. There is also a bug that makes it die randonly

why do you use the reverse draw so much, the tenpoint is hands down better. The site is more specific with the dots, it has more magnification, the bow looks WAY better than the reverse draw, is cheaper, and more powerful so why the reverse draw fainter.

Its simple. The reverse draw has dots to 80m, its easy to drop animals at that range, so I carry that
