Thank you for the comment. Having visual takes when streamer fishing really is hard to beat.

It's pretty rare but it does happen. Go a short drive to the mountain streams however and it can happen pretty often.

It's gonna take practice but the right gear can help you out. I really like a 7 or 8 weight fast action rod to throw the extra weight without putting muscle into it. Get yourself a purpose built flyline which has an integrated sink tip in it. These just cast easier than a floating line with a sink tip added. One of our personal favourites is the Rio In Touch Big Nasty sink tip line. With a fast rod and the right line you can simply lift the line out of the water and put it back down without any false casting. This is key to keeping the fly in the water, and not tiring yourself out whilst doing it.
