I'm gonna go ahead and submit that York Bowen is the most underrated piano composer.

I agree, though I'd of course tie that submission with Medtner.

@@tomcarterpianist I agree with that, but at least people who know Medtner know him for his piano music. If anyone knows who York Bowen is, it's because of his underrated violin and viola music. His piano music is super underrated.

I discovered this composer a few days ago, on "France Musique". I can't believe that I never heard of him before, as I'm usually interested in musicians who go off the beaten track. Extremely difficult technically. Definitely not a music for the beginner pianist.
