Your videos just keep getting better and better! Thank you for doing all this work and sharing your passion. I have the 705S2 in my system. I like them a lot. For the record, I wrote this comment before I watch the entire video. I was only one minute in when I decided to comment. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. One of my favourite hi-fi channels I watch.
The finish on these speakers is really good. The lighting that you were using in the video really pointed this out. I’m quite surprised to hear you have such a positive reactions of these. I thought that the LS 50s were one of your favorites!
B&W and Klipsch are the only two that constantly get the"brightness"comment by reviewers and commenters, and they are right, over a long listening session you end up turning the volume down to lower than conversation level, you'd think they would have re-engineered that problem already, great review as always
Tape Master82 i think klipsch has fixed that on their new rp series. Rp600m sound less bright than my KEfs atleast on youtube sound demos. B&w is definitely bright.
How do you feel about the 707 S2 in 2024? I found a brand new pair of the 707s2! The seller is asking quite, an expensive price.. Or do you think I'm just better off getting the 607s3 and save myself $450? I do like the piano black finish on the 707 S2. But sound quality is the most important thing, and ofcourse value for money what do you think.
S2 upper range of frequencies are a little too forward but it has better tweeter than 607 S3 if I remember correctly but you can always use tone control in case.

@@Tharbamar 😊 thanks for your reply. looking for a great loudspeaker that as excellent detail, also plays great at low volume. Any suggestions? Looking at the Elac reference 62 is right now a David Jones design.
Does the LS50 have any redeeming qualities over the 707 series? For example it has concentric driver -- would you say there is an audible coherence and balance from the LS50 that is better than the 707? Also, hope you can review the new KEF R series.
Yes LS50 does have a bit better driver integration and midrange warmth, 707 S2 highs can be more forward than I would like otherwise 707 S2 has more detail and definition in the rest of the frequency range with better bass performance.
Unfortunately, you, yes you, spoiled me! I purchased the JBL 590's for $479 each and now I wouldn't even consider anything else for 5x the cost. And yes, I realize not everyone is in the market for a 4 foot 80 pound speaker but I sure WAS!😉🤗😎😆 I PLAY Billy Eilish and am just amazed! Harp music sounds fantastic😨 yes, I know but it just sounds so good/real I became a Harp and Piano listener!🙄🤔🙃 would love to see you pick up a pair of 530's but they are so fantastic, they are sold out till December!😨🤤🤓😁🤗 Considering you are such a fan of the 590 I am surprised you never tried those but maybe you have? I just obtained the 520 center for the perfect home theater set up! just waiting on the 530's for rear because that compression tweeter is so good, it makes my cr6 Boston acoustics in the rear sound like💩😉😁😅😎🤗Great review as always!
@@timgenardo265 I can relate, such us life! I had a couple of much more expensive demo speakers" Monitor audio gold as an example" before these and it's literally night and day difference!🤗😎😁 the monitor audio gold were built like a Rolls-Royce compared to the JBL's. Sound wise jbl especially for the price😉
@UCveGBbWfn0pQSwUI1qsfolg There's some magic going on! That's for sure! Z reviews has a great review of the product! It's like staring at Darth Vader with grills on as I prefer! The 570's are on sale now for cheap which is about 2/3rds the 590 size!🤗😁😉 heck if you're brave they offer a free shipping back to them return policy which was 1000% percent what I thought I would use🤤😨🤓😉😎😁 Wrong!🤓 obviously you don't know me but believe me when I tell you we went to high-end audio stores me and the wife and listened to forty $50,000 systems and figured thousand-dollar for JBL and a Corvette or the system we were listening to. as you can see we chose the first option without the car of course!🤣
Good looking speakers ! I only use direct mode also (cleaner sound signature ) But if I was you just saying if you go loud I'd bet at the tone setting of 2+Bass treble at 0- would be the magic spot basically your saying the speaker is breaking up when pushed hard ) Enjoy your music all over again that's what I love about getting new speakers espically when that Wow factor hits ya your like whaaaaat ! Lol Great review keep up the good work thanks again
@@Tharbamar Thank you, I was just wondering as I am currently using a Samsung sound bar with a sub, but thinking of upgrading as I am missing the music part - was worried I might miss the sub bass. Mind you, I guess these speakers will sound better than a five year old sound bar?
I just demo'd these two side by side at Best Buy here in the US, and It's no comparison. The 707's have much more detail, clarity, and a more fuller sound. The piano black finish is amazing too. I will be getting these instead of the LS50's I went in the store for.
A few speakers did better than LS50 for me, Such as, Sonus Faber Venere 1.5 (more engaging sound, which replaced my white LS50) KEF R300 (Better Dynamics and Bass Performance, it didn't replaced LS50 Titanium because I kept both) Wharfedale Denton 80th (almost replaced my LS50 Black Edition) LS50 set the benchmark for small speakers in any price point.
