Comfort inn is always our "in between camp " too lol closest thing you can get to roughing it out on the trail with outlaws constantly right outside your door lmfao !! We have a different tale we leave with every outing!
On my first boar hunt in Hawaii. I actually pulled out that vitals chart off of google and studied it on the plane ride there. I like to do it for every game mammal I’m hunting prior to each hunt. Awesome stuff guys!

Whenever we have pigs come out, whether with bows or muzzleloaders, we always are wanting a slightly quartering away shot. Place it right in the "armpit" and you'll get vitals.
Loaner boars and sows without babies are the best eaters. Now, wet sows are sometimes good if they are eating very well, but most times they are lean just like the ones in this video. The meat itself is not that bad on them. The problems is the fat they have doesn't render and is gamey. You have to trim it well.

Shot placement is as important as everything else Troy teaches about arrow weight/Broadhead sharpness. If you can’t hit the vitals, the entire setup doesn’t matter. And at the same time, if you don’t have a good enough setup, it doesn’t matter where you hit if you can’t get into the goodies. I believe in the sharpness, mass, FOC, and cut on contact heads Troy talks about. Just goes to show that all of the puzzle pieces have to fit together to complete the picture, no matter which you decide to focus on. And lastly, Hayden. It happens to everyone, and I’m sure it will happen to you again. Keep your head up, learn what happened and why, and don’t forget. That’s how we become better hunters, more ethical and humane killers, and expand our knowledge of the outdoors.
I've actually seen two people shoot two different bucks EXACTLY right behind the fore leg bone at proper elevation and neither deer died. Both were seen on camera just a few days later. Both had scars on both sides of their bodies. Both deer were still around on camera months later. One was a mechanical head and the other was Slick Trick 4 blade. Crazy stuff.

Aaron, you need to get on my ELK program........Efficiently Lean for Killing. Wild high fat and protein, salmon, avacado, eggs in a four hour time period, resistance training during the 20 hour fast. No wasted fat or too much bulk to get you traversing in the mountains efficiently.
