Hi I just recently bought 3 balls arsenal for the league thats going to start in a couple weeks from now. I have the Hammer Effect, Motive Hyper Venom, and the Roto Grip Hustle BRY. FYI, I am a 2 hander and I also have a plastic spare ball. I just want to know if you got any advice on how I use them or if I am missing any ball.
It is reactive, but somewhere between solid and urethane as far as reaction. Picks up early, but reacts a bit off of friction whereas urethane blends off it
I currently own an arctic vibe and wanna buy a pearl bowling ball, I’m a 2 handed bowler with decent revs and speed. I’m in between the new optimum idol or the hammer effect. What are the differences between those 2 balls and what would you recommend, Ty.
My Ebonite Big Time Special Edition came as a sanded pearl, and hooks very quickly. I'm still trying to decide what to put in my arsenal: Jackal Ghost, Archetype Hybrid, Hammer Effect, DV8 Trouble Maker Pearl, Dark Web Hybrid, and Venom Black for a low to middle area. I'm thinking Solid or Hybrid. Maybe something like the Summit Ascent or Hazmat Solid? Perhaps symmetrical, since most of my balls are asymmetrical?
Urethane is great when the back ends are dry, not when the whole lane is dry. On fresh oiled lanes where the backs have been stripped, reactive balls hook to much or too fast and are harder to control. That is when you want to use urethane. Once enough oil gets carried down the lane and the urethane has trouble hooking through the pins, then you want to switch to reactive. If you are very rev dominant, you may need to use urethane for a longer time. If you are speed dominant, you may be able to start with reactives and continue using them.
