This song still means a lot to me. I'll never forget the day when the Drunk Dynasty Kickstarter pledge I made to either learn or hear a song from Jaret himself came around and after admitting I knew many of their songs already, we just decided to chill and talk for a while, almost as if we randomly met in a bar somewhere. We had such a good conversation and honestly, he's actually a really cool guy. When I told him I wanted to write a play (almost finished) based on this song he actually thought it was a cool idea, and before we ended the call we played this song together. 4800 miles apart, He sang while I played guitar. I know it's been years but I sometimes wonder if he also remembers that call.

I love the line of "and now he doesn't have them anymore", so many people steal for the thrill or because they're having trouble financially, and its just nice to know that somebody else gets that stealing can sometimes be less about having some thing and more about somebody else not having it.

I was introduced to BFS through Radio Disney playing lyrically butchered versions some of their songs a long time ago. I'm so glad I used the internet to find the real versions, and they've stuck with me ever since. Now I just have to find a store that sells their albums. :C
