Sorry if I offended people at this track. The reason for bank pitch higher on the outside lane on a track is to make inside and outside lanes more even because of the shorter distance on the inside lane. Also I did my share of love tapping on the car in front of me but would never intentionally ram a car for revenge. Might be good for entertainment but stupid to say the least . It takes a lot of work setting a car up for racing and doesn't take much miner bumping to screw that up .Doing this not only causes damage to your own car and wallet but even if your able to fix it in the pits your setup is most likely still screwed. ( car won't handle) Plus it's a good way to get you fined or even banned at most tracks .I'm a ex late model champion. My 2 cents.
@@largelarson7933 same, i just looked up the rule book because i got curious myself. I also discovered where my local short track (Owosso Speedway) got the idea for their sportsman class
I just don't see that much in this track. Put them on Winchester Indiana high bank .5 miler and see if they want to fight after 2 hr. race. This track is just too small to get the speeds up. I guess it's what you get use to.
This track is a major disaster waiting to happen ......... and when it happens and people are killed , then they will wonder why ..........pathetic ......
BORING RACING! Single file with little passing because the cars can not hold the outside lane. Believe it or not it's not because of the track being to small . It's the lack of banking in the turns. If they put more pitch in the turns cars would be able to hold the outside lane, That would be much more competitive! This track looks like it was designed for go kart racing. I'm sure the drivers out there would agree. The best racing on small tracks are the ones with banking and inverted lineups in the mains. In other words the fastest cars start in the back.

dude that's so damn ignorant of an opinion... this track has been in existence since 1937 and has a massive amount of history... winners include Lee Petty, Ralph Earnhardt, Ned Jarrett, Richie Evans, Jerry Cook, Glen Wood, Rex White, David Pearson, Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson and Marvin Panch... and to top all that off Richard Petty got his 100th win at this race track...it was founded by Bill France Sr. and Alvin Hawkins … and I think they know a thing or two about track design... bowman gray is a beautiful race track and extremely unique and looking at that packed out house I don't think the fans find it very boring, and its still packed after 82 years... so yeah, my opinion is that your opinion is shit.
@@mariaburchette4205 yea I get it, but alot of single file racing! Its not a 5 flags speedway home of the snowball derby or new symrna speedway in Daytona. If I lived in that area im sure I would go, but its no 3 wide on a half of a mile at 140!
