Idk how I learned, I believe I just one day taught myself how to grip short short hair and was surprised. Even my friend who’s hair super short and it was straightened because she had permed it like 2 weeks prior so she didn’t think I could braid a beehive for her but I shocked both myself and her. So I’m sure you can learn because once you get it, it becomes easier.

Thank you so much, i had a professional tell me my hair was too short. BTW my hair is twice the length of yours. What this pandemic has taught me is stop paying someone for thing's you're capable of doing and don't beg anyone to take your money!
Girl where are you located so you can come braid my hair!!? People trying to charge 250 damn dollars just because my hair is super short and everytime I go into a salon, they laugh at me saying to come back in three months when it's grown out. ): Some African salons make you feel like less of a woman just because of the length.
Captain Lyly my hair is really short right about 2 inches. I tried to braid by myself and the result surprised me. Try to braid your own short hair and then buy a braided hair( single ones if that makes sense) and put in your braided hair with the ‘hair needle ‘ . There are some videos on RU-vid about 😉

You did an amazing job and this color looks great on you. I usually braid my own and it takes all weekend. I usually start in the back, and do around the front but I leave the middle open in case I get tired. I can just wear it in a bun until I finish it.
I think it’s amazing that she is doing this herself! When my hair was cut shorter than I wanted I thought it was the end of versatility. I still have enough hair to get the braids if I want to change it up a bit until it grows out again. I don’t think she’s doing this just to hide her naturally beautiful hair.
You did an awesome job it was very easy to follow by using your hair as the 3rd piece instead of all the unnecessary crossing the hair all the extra stuff I see on here so many times. Thanks, I'm going to do my hair using this method.

Years ago I could braid my hair at this length and didn’t have to watch a video. Now Idek if the lord himself can give me the patience and strength. Imma try it anyway

Wow, you did a phenomanal job. They look so good. My only objection would be, we should not call them "Box" braiding. That name was created by Europeans after Bo Derek wore braids. Our people have been braiding for years!...Any way enough with the history lesson! You rocked those braids... beautiful

Hi Kimberly..it’s Jan. 16.2020 here is my update. Lol. I finally finished my hair.. I started Friday and got done that Sunday evening which was the Jan, 12th . I did take breaks . Had to work as well, so , I did good. My hair came out pretty good. I’m proud. It was a job though. My next hair style will be a crochet hair style. Girl I’m gonna rock these braids for about 8 weeks. Lol. Take care..God bless you all..

Why is it you don’t do the three part? Is it because of the length of your hair? I’m trying to attempt to do braiding on my own hair but my hair is shoulder length. Just curious? Beautiful though❤️
How do you keep your hair smooth when it begins to grow out , if there is no chemical on it to keep it straight ? Are you adding a relaxer on your edges ? Nothing seems to old my baby hairs down. Any suggestions thanks !
Denise Gatewood As you braid down, the natural hair in the middle moves from it’s former “middle placement” because we’re overlapping strains to create the braid, it’s hard to explain but hopefully it helps a bit more 💗 think of it as overlapping one piece over another

Good Job. Very good. I did a mohawk with braids in the middle last July 2019. My sides are grown/is growing back but still shorter than the middle. I'm attempt to braid the sides. Hopefully without rubber band method. My grip game isn't as good as yours.
