When braiding on natural hair, you always want to be extremely gentle with your hair.
If you are not careful with your hair, that will reflect in the health of your hair.
Too much rough handling on your tresses will result in split damaged ends and hair loss which in the long run stunt the growth of your hair.
Wearing a protective style like this Box Braids/Single Braids Extensions Hairstyle is great in retaining length but if you always comb aggressively or handle your hair in a rough manner, many of your hair saving methods will go to waste.
Also, remember when that you do Box Braids/Single Braids you can make your braids as long as you want.
The ultimate look of a style is to your discretion.

Reading these Comments are very disturbing. We live in an impatient World with a bunch of hating ungrateful People. That Tutorial was AWESOME! She took her time out to Post a Video for FREE to teach People how to Braid Hair and People are complaining about how it took so long. She is a great Teacher and it is a Step by Step process. I loved it and I learned alot now I may be able to braid my Sister and Nieces or even my own Hair now. She do a great Job. I wish she was in Philly. I would personally Pay her to teach me hands on because I want to learn, practice and start getting busy Braiding People Hair. I truly appreciate her taking the time to do this. She is great Teacher and good at her Kraft in what she does..... Thank You!

The first time I watched this video was 3 years ago; since then, I watched other youtubers trying to show how to do box braids on your own hair but your video is the one that did the trick for me; I agree that it can go faster but I found out that for the section I didn't understand well, it really helped me to go slowwwwwly and watch what you're doing; You did a great job!

I cannot explain to you how wonderful it is to have a clear, well-paced, well-worded video on how to do this. I'm confident that I can learn how to box braid once I purchase the hair for it. I can almost cry at how happy I am that I won't have to spend 180+ dollars for someone else to do it for me and run the risk of them not properly caring for my hair, overcharging, etc. Thanks!

+Breanna Rutter please make a video showing how to add hair to make a huge side braid/up do pony these are so popular. Every time I do it I cause a band around my braid almost as if there's a rubber band on my braid of that makes sense. So the braid never flows nicely

This video is very helpful and clear, thank you so much! I've been doing my braids a similar but different way for the past year (I only learnt last year), they've been looking okay but I think with this technique they're going to look 100% better and last longer. I'm also about to braid someone elses hair so I'm excited, this video is great!

You did a fantastic job. For years I feel like I've been watching people do it and tried to do it myself and never could tell what the hell was going on. I can braid myself but never with weave. Your video made so much sense and helped me do it on my own! Kept my little $150 in my pocket. Pros - video broken into relevant sections making it easy to refer back to areas you need to see - clear short step directions - blonde hair to contrast your dark hair helped to see what was going on You go girl 🤜🏾

This is the best step by step tutorial I have ever come across and helped me understand clearly. I love how you used the blonde hair to contrast. At first it wasn't tight enough so I just tried again, keeping it as tight as i could and it worked out! :') so happy. Gonna do my whole head this weekend;)

Hi Breanna! I enjoyed watching your tutorial. I'm still a bit confused though. Even though, as I watched how you separated the hair (with 1/3 in your right hand and 2/3 in your left hand), I was able to loop it to form 3 strands, but I was still confused as to what fingers of the right hand to turn and slide between the 2 parts in the left hand. The most confusing part is that I could hardly see how you attached it to your natural hair. I couldn't see what strand, from the synthetic hair that you put with the natural hair. Anyway, your braids look very pretty.
