Box Canyon Falls: Unusual Steamy Waterfall Of Ouray Colorado
Ouray, Colorado is a magnificent stop in Colorado. Known as Little Switzerland, its canyon placement allows it to welcome guest year round. With hot spring waters, lots of hiking and some magnificent attractions such as the Box Canyon Waterfall, it is a stop worth taking when visiting the Million Dollar Highway. Today Lady Bugout and I are taking the short hike to the falls on one of the most unique trails I have seen. Come explore with us!!

Yes.. it was a little of a surprise to me as well.. it is very humid and steamy as you get close... we also went to the hot springs, although I didn't end up doing a video because people In bathing suits and privacy... the water is from the same source and wow!!! loved it.. so peaceful

I find places in so many ways.. sometimes people suggest them (I love those)... others I find when researching areas online... sometimes I find things at visitor centers or state line crossing centers...

Just watched the interview you, Lady Bugout and Dawn of Vanlife had done on your community tab post. I subscribed to each of the women and also the Glorious Life on Wheels Channel. Strong, confident women that I appreciate you connecting me with through videos like this. I have told you before that I am inspired by your freedom on the road and how you constantly are learning new things. I share these kinds of things with my small daughter as we travel and consider others like yourself and the women in the video to be role models for her as she grows. Those words mean everything! Being able to be an example for someone who is so young and coming up is something that I value. My goal in starting my channel was to inspire people to get out and live life more fully. It seems as though that is exactly what you’re doing with your daughter and it makes me smile.

You will love it! Such a great community to explore. This is one of many hiking areas in the town and the springs.. omg.. loved it!! Didn't do a video because people in their bathing suits and privacy... but we loved it!!

Thank you! I have been really focused on telling the stories of places that I’m visiting through the small details which make up the bigger picture. I think sometimes there are so many things to look at in a wide shot that she missed the true beauty by not highlighting the tiny things that really capture your focus when you’re there.

The community in general is just so amazing! It is nestled within the canyon and has wonderful views as you depart out toward the million dollar highway. The buildings a lot of them are themed like Little Swiss chalet’s, the Hot Spring area is very modern facility that is very warm and welcoming… And then the box Canyon Drew us in!!

I don't think I have ever seen a hot falls with this much power. A hot spring with a little fall maybe but this one is really flowing. I am going to have to check this one out.

They were actually doing some work on the highway so it was only open with limited hours... so we opted to not on this trip so we wouldn't have it impaired by the construction cones...

Absolutely a fun one. There is also an upper viewpoint if you’re willing to take on a little extra hiking. It actually works directly across the canyon and you can see the backside of the waterfall.

Yay!!!! First in for most welcome to the channel! My entire goal of starting my channel was to share the beautiful places that we have right here in our country. In doing so I hope to encourage people to get out and explore more of the areas both close to them and across the nation. I have found some beautiful places in the past almost 5 years of travel now and without having started this I would’ve never known about most of them. Share those adventures on my three weekly uploads (tue, Thur and sun) and then I have an additional upload for van related content (sat). I truly enjoyed meeting all of the women on the panel! Each of them is so unique and such a beautiful spirit. I am glad to say that the nomadic community never seems to disappoint! As for Colorado, absolutely one of the most magnificent places you can visit. So many absolutely stunning views, astounding peaks, and unique animals that you only will find in the remote mountain tops. The beauty of the state draws me back time and time again.

I certainly suggest you check this one out.... it is a great stop and the entire community is so neat... we actually went to the hot springs also.. it is a very nicely developed modern facility.. opted to not film because people were in their swimsuits and that gets weird...

We stayed at a campground called Amphitheater.. it was not compatible with larger rigs.. but they do have a KOA here that is great!!

Nah man, this should be video #1 when looking up Box Canyon. Covered it all, I didn't even know there was a museum, or that you could get off from the scaffolding, or that the water was hot springs. Crazy. Thank You.

Perhaps some of the people who attempt to get into the geothermal features at Yellowstone should instead consider visiting Ouray. This water is safe to enter vs the water that will literally scald you.

LOL interesting you say this I have always thought that with as many signs as they have posted at Yellowstone there was no excuse for people getting in the geothermal features. However every year I hear about someone new who has decided to try to take up lunch… It makes no sense
