Box of Old VHS Video Tapes - My Childhood! 

Most charity shops have stopped selling VHS tapes, but occasionally you find one which makes me all nostalgic inside.

My late nan also had several of those "Video Library" tapes as well. I always mistook those for books! Brings back memories.

Great video! I had Toy Story, Monsters Inc, few other Disney films on VHS so they're very nostalgic. I also had 007 Goldeneye and I was probably way too young to be watching that when I did.

Planet Sketch! I remember that show. Wasn't there a dancing cat called Melville at the end of every episode? There was a one about dinosaurs as well and the joke was always "65 million years ago last Tuesday..." Thanks for the memories, pal. If I were you I'd keep some of those, I wish I still had my old Toy Story/Winnie the Pooh tapes.

God VHS we're the days I also gave mine to a charity shop years ago I remember having a bunch of looney time and Simpsons Ones in particular I always loved the covers on them.

Tales of the Riverbank was a lovely little show about a group of animals involving a rat a hamster and a guinea pig who have adventures along a riverbank hence the name. It's a show from the 60's so why it's your VHS collection I've no idea, clearly your parents tape. I have the same tape which my uncle gave to my dad then he gave to me. Watched it and fell in love with it even though i only have 3 eps.

I still own a Ton of VHS Tapes from when I was a Child in the 2000's I would always Watch them every Morning, Noon, and Night (Way before I Started School) I still own tons of them to this Day and their Mostly Educational Pre-School Shows such as Nick Jr., Playhouse Disney (Before it was Disney Junior) and PBS Kids I also own a Little People Tape I also own another box of VHS Tapes from when I was in Elementary School but both of the Boxes are Packed Away in my Garage I still own some Pokémon VHS Tapes (the 1st Generation) from when I was a Baby and I also Bought a Whole Bunch of VHS Tapes from my Local Goodwill in my Area and their always Super Cheap in Goodwill I haven't watched any of my Childhood VHS Tapes since 2011 (when I was 13) I had an Old CRT TV that had a VHS Combo and I Used it all of 2011 to Watch my VHS Tapes from my Childhood Until I got my very 1st Flatscreen TV (Manufactured in November 2011) the Following Christmas and then my Mom gave Away my Old CRT TV with a VHS Combo to my Older Cousin so ever since then I Lost my Attachment to the watching VHS Hobby but the thing is my Mom still has her VHS Player (which she had for a Million Years) and I told her I've been Wanting to go back to the watching VHS Hobby for so long and she said she'd let me use it since I have a Love/Hate Relationship with the Streaming Services such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, IMB TV, STARS, and Disney+ and I'm not too Big on DVDs and I never was because DVDs get Scratched up too Easily, they Crack, and they Snap in Half whenever I Pop a DVD in my Family's DVD Player the Disc starts skipping and that really bothers me when DVDs start skipping so I'm not too Big on DVDs I'm more of a VHS type of Guy since I still own a Whole Bunch of Video Tapes from when I was a Child and I've been Wanting to get back into the watching VHS Hobby I'm gonna start doing that Real Soon since I know it's gonna bring back to my Toddler Days and when I get back into the Hobby I'm totally gonna Ignore the Streaming Services since I have a Love/Hate Relationship with them and I don't use my Family's Firestick too much so that's what I'm gonna do Real Soon and I'm looking Forward to the watching VHS Hobby

My grandma had VHS tapes that she showed us all the time but she pasted away in 2015 so I am trying to earn a vcr from my parents to play them because I miss my grandma playing them

I had alot of vh's as well when i was younger mostly Disney titles with others thrown in. I have recently got into collecting old vhs's for the nostalgia and my general love for them. I do own some old editions and some of the Vhs's I own still have paperwork and receipts in them which i keep as well ^^ I keep them now proudly on my shelves for show and to watch them again sometimes for the memories. I was elated when I found the lion king VHS I owned when i was younger. Me and it where inseparable back then XDD

I wish I'd of kept hold of my childhood vhs collection it was quite a mixed bunch because my parents were pretty lax on what I watched so it was like a mis match of Tom and Jerry, Scooby doo, and the likes alongside things like The Terminator, Robocop, Predator and that sort of thing. 😆

Talk about regional differences. For some reason, the Monsters Inc VHS in my country has the original North American worded signage throughout the entire film. But the DVD in countries outside the USA had symbolic signage.

I used to watch "Tails of the Riverbank" as a kid too but I completely forgot about it before watching this video.

For us, maybe was toy story 2 the last on VHS, We moved to Dvd or DivX films like Monsters or so.

Man feel old to see those vhs case

I remember loving the Farthing Wood Animals as a kid, it was actually pretty dark in hindsight, with actual blood and death of many main characters occurring throughout the series. I'd recommend rewatching it, though the animation is a little dated the story still holds up. I found some of my old VHS tapes and I had Bugs Life and some Flintstones and Dexter's Lab VHS', though most of my collection was Simpsons VHS's.

My late nan had lots of played recorded TV tapes but she hardly labelled them. A bit annoying since it's a mystery what was on them, especially when you no longer have a VHS player.

PS: I remember a lot of those tapes.

How many Futurama episodes do you think are on that tape?

Do you think it’s possible that the Simpson’s episodes could not have been recorded from Channel 4 - but from Sky One, or depending how old the tapes are - BBC One or BBC Two?

CHRISTMAS Story VHS tapes

Might be a blessing you don’t remember Tom & Jerry: The Movie. It’s an awful film, completely missing the point of what made those cartoons classic. I also had a lot of the Disney tapes as usual, the Jungle Book one I had was a re-release from 2000 when Disney was going crazy re-issuing a lot of the older films. Original version was from 1993.
