We should have taught Teddy that high sticking isn't allowed in Hockey!
Winter time in Canada makes for perfect pond hockey conditions. My son and I love playing hockey together on frozen ponds and lakes on the weekends. The local hockey rinks have much smoother ice, but the freedom of flying around on a frozen pond is incredible. Although, Teddy just learned how to skate this year, he is improving quite quickly and is having the time of his life!
Since Teddy is just learning how to skate we always put his hockey equipment on to cushion his fall. The hockey helmet is a must! Skating with the hockey stick also seems to give Teddy more support because it helps him balance himself. Watching Hockey night in Canada is something Ted enjoys to do. He is a fan of the National Hockey League but then again he is a fan of anything his parents watch.
Looks like we will need to teach Ted some lessons about high sticking so he doesn't get many penalties when he starts playing for a team.
We hope you enjoyed this funny little video of our precious Teddy whacking the camera with his hockey stick.
Teddy loves ice skating and playing hockey, but maybe we should’ve taught him high sticking isn’t allowed.
He’s doing a great job skating around on the ice, and maybe got a little too tempted as he came toward me with his stick in hand. Next thing I know, he hits my iPhone like a hockey puck!
Oh well, seeing Teddy grow up and find his passions is more important than technology, so as long as he learns to keep that stick on the ground and aim for the pucks instead of the phones we’ll have many more great hockey moments to come. Thanks for watching.
Enjoy, and be sure to go skating with your family this winter before spring arrives!
