A young man named David Martinez tries to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner. Anime Name: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Not only did David’s end make me cry but also Mane had me sad. It’s like we were just starting to see him be a role model and he had this fatherly bond with David.
@@beCoCOi Its because unlike David who already accepted his fate, Rebecca just died without build-up. One scene she's talking with Lucy and in the next, gets stomped by Adam. She also helped David on many occasions and warned him not to install the cyberskeleton because she cared for him.
I loved when the edgerunner went "its edgerunnin' time." And edgerunned all over the cyberpunks, and how Adam Smasher helps Rebecca get her life back on track and gets her a puppy too.
That really is a bittersweet ending. Lucy achieved her dream but it paled to the memory of her time with David on the virtual moon. Her basking in the rays was reliving that moment with him. Also... Rebecca whhyyy
Dorio died a tragic death by the one she loved she didn't deserve that and it sucks that Lucy was the only one left alive at the end at what cost. rip david
Really sad too that she finally achieved her ultimate goal in life but she realized in the journey to achieve her dream she lost the one thing she cared for the most and that is David. Broke my heart for a while watching him tearing himself apart just to make sure she's safe
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you watch this anime yourself. Seriously a recap doesn't do it justice. It's only 1 season and 10 episodes so won't take much of your time but you'll fall in love with it.
One gripe I have about the mom, even in her perfect world where David gets a decent education and a cushy job, Corpos will literally Minecraft their co-workers just to get the tiniest amount of edge on the competition. They even have a term for it, "human asset liquidation".
You gotta respect how this anime is so good because there is no such thing as plot armor and straight up killed the main character, sometimes it makes the anime ass sometimes it makes it great, in this case it was absolutely well executed.
Thank you for making this recap as accurate as possible. I cried inside for a whole day after finishing this anime and I'm still sad about it, it's THE best show/anime I have ever watched and I loved every second of it. Honestly the thing I liked the most about this anime is watching how Lucy and David grow into each other to the point where they are dependent on each other and by episode 10 David sacrificing himself to save Lucy and let her achieve her dream. It's also the saddest thing too because by the time David is knowingly about to die him and Lucy just know all they really care about is to be with each other and that was just harsh to see.
@@TheFunnyDictator yeah so many losses of friends, loved 🥰 ones and family and David he sacrifice himself to save Lucy. He was very brave, and he suffered unfairly.
This show really was top tier. Had been on my mind often ever since watching it simply because of the music or the events of the show. Unfortunate the studio behind the show is known for doing 1 seasons for shows and this show was in the works for like 3+ years
with the MASSIVE success of this show they probably would start working on a season 2 and its a smart decision to be quiet about it for now to build anticipation, it will either come out in a few years or around the time cyberpunk orion comes out.
The ending gave me a panic attack because of how sad it was, i felt so sad that my heart was beating very fast and i was dcared of my life . The Lesson is: don't get sad over an anime , its not worth your life and health guys
I like to see These type of anime as prequels to another where the protagonist meets a serious badass chick (which in this case would be Lucy) and falls in love with her but faces the challenge of making her fall since the only one she ever loved (David) died a long time ago thus no longer trusts love.
For people who've seen akame ga kill, its built the same, you can see it early, but very good. For those who play Yakuza ya boy Majima shares the voice actor with the principal. Very good anime.
I love how your personality and humor is coming out more and more as you do these videos and it's honestly great to see love your content and cant wait for season two of cyberpunk edgrunners (at least i think theres going to be one?) WOOOOOO!!!
God damn edgerunners had me in the FEELS i cried too much watching david fold like that but it was an amazing emotional roller coaster and even better having AniRecaps do a video on it amazing i'm just waiting for season 2 and another season of welcome to demon-school Iruma-Kun damn love you're content ani hoping you reach 500k subs keep it up my man 👑
God seeing David go crazy against militech and arasaka with the exoskeleton was so bad ass. And I can't believe they teased the exoskeleton when David beat up Tanakas kid. With Tanaka wanting David to pilot the exoskeleton since like episode 2. What a great anime.
After watching edgerunner and playing cyberpunk, I feel empty especially with how little npcs there are in the game followed by how the locations within the edgerunner anime felt empty as well in the game. Only reason to play is to kill Adam Smasher and t-bag him till his body explode. Really want a better crossover between edgerunner and CP to fill this void with reassurance
this anime is literally a beautiful piece of art out in the open the plot the character development and the ending the storyline the FEELS AND EMOTION is perfect…too perfect
Only mistake with this anime was that it was not long enough, I definitely feel like the content the writers wanted to cover would've fit perfectly into 12 or maybe 14 episodes. But I guess this is partially to fit the idea that Night City is a fast paced city to live in. Do watch this as the experience is better than any possible recap(no offense, it's just that good). As much as I want a season 2, I think it's better writing wise that one doesn't happen as it fits with the writing and setting better that no happy ending does exist.
Damn choom! becoz of your review and release of Phantom liberty I watched it and "I really wanna stay at your house" is always playing in my place. One of the best anime series I ever watched! I foolishly hope Lucy and David had a child💔🥹😭
All those who came here pause the video and watch the full anime. I swear this recap isn't enough to cover the pain you will feel watching the anime. This isn't an overpowered boy gets a harem bla bla bla. This is what made a full-grown person cry.
