Awesome your the best Charlie! Funny you say that my Uncle Charles was known as Charlie Boy as well 85 years ago or so. He was a mechanical engineer. Great fly I will definitely add to my arsenal 👍 for trout and grayling. Thank You
This past fall we had historic low water conditions, and some of the best dry fly fishing ever right up to the end of the first week in November when the overnight lows dropped to freezing. The Charlie Boy was my go-to hopper and hopper dropper this year. I am going to have to tie up this one for sure. On Thanksgiving Day by tradition, I go deer hunting, but I have already filled my two tags in the last week and a half, I can get another doe tag but I am not going to do that. So breaking with tradition, I am going to drive up to the West Branch of the Farmington River in CT, I am going to camp out, I got a cooler that will be filled with fresh venison and other fixings and I am going to fish from Wed thru Monday or Tue. Depending on how much and how heavy the forecasted rains are going to be. Have a great Thanksgiving Charlie and to all that might read this comment. We have lots to be thankful for.
Mega Thx Charlie. As a new tier, I absolutely love your videos. As such, I’m not familiar with the floating properties of macrame. Then again I’m still trying to learn about several other materials as well. At any rate, does it matter if the macrame is Cotton, nylon or and cotton/poly mixed yarn? Hope you & your family have a very Blessed Thanksgiving !
Thanks heaps Charlie for sharing this pattern! So this Wonder Boy and the Fat Angie are where it's at?! I will tie some and give them a go... Again, many thanks.
