I can certainly see a lot of usage in your future posts with these microphones. I like the fact You are are able to combine this with the tracking system you have for the iPhone. Very well explained. 😊

I just need an extension for my camera and I'll be good. I tried it today and I'm getting crackles. I wouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions but it's a very cheap mic/headphone splitter going to an incorrect jack plug, so not the best :D

Sounds great! I just watched another channel reviewing the Rode Wireless ME but the Boya did a much better job of isolating your voice from room echoes. I've recently bought a Fulaim X5 which appears to be a direct competitor to the Boya. Blessings

how to get rid of the hiss? it's kinda annoying and lowers the overall quality of the video

Noise cancelling definitely works, there's some fan sound in the background and it disappears right after u activate the NC ;p

I really didn't notice, but yes it's actually quite a loud environment for a mic. I've replaced 3 of the external drives now trying to quiet things down, but I'll give the noise cancelling some more time.

Does it work with pixel 4a? Do you need external camera app to record videos coz boya lavalier mic needs open camera app. Plz tell if boya app needs to be installed to work

I don't have a pixel phone, so I tried it on my Doogee tablet running Android 13. Sound recorder picked up the mic, but the built in camera app didn't. A bit og googling reveals that whilst the mic is recognised, it's not used as a system mic for some apps... camera amongst them. So I downloaded Open Camera which allowed me to switch to a USB mic, and that worked fine. So I think the answer is yes, but perhaps not with the system camera app as it's hard coded to use the internal mic

It seems the audio quality was affected when you use an extender in your cannon camera, because if you compare the IPHONE it sounds better.

Yes - it's got worse since then. It's a nasty cheapo cable that was actually designed to sply mic/headphones in an old iphone with a 3.5mm jack. I've had to go back to using my rhode mic on the camera until I can source a decent quality cable for this (or perhaps just make one might be faster). I love it for everything else, it sounds great

There is a hiss in your audio from the begining of the video all the way through. I think it may be coming from your camera's preamps if your in-camera audio gain is too high.

Yes - I can't work out if it partly that cable, as that seems to have gotten worse, and I'm having to use the old mic on the camera

I bought the same BOYA BOYALINK Wireless Lavalier and after testing it , there is all kind of noise and when I walked away from the phone and gopro with a media mod lost my voise very fast. I dont think this BOYA BOYALINK Wireless Lavalier is any good at all. Any tips before I refund it? Or a better mic for a gopro media mod?

I haven't tried it in my media mod. I generally hold the gopro and talk to the mic nuilt into the media mod. Mines working very well with my phone though - no complaints there. Obviously, if yours isn't, you should definately follow up and either exchange it or get a refund
