My Acer laptop doesn't recognize it even though there is a notification that comes in as soon as it is connected to the jack port

Hi, seen both videos and read the comments. The wireless mic sound as good the Rode Filmaker kit which has as I remember 8 channels. When using two Rode Filmaker kits is it indeed possible to set up an stereo sound. I do not own the Rode anymore and searching for alternative, so pity that the equipment of your presentation doesn’t allow stereo. You move naturally and speak fluently, it was nice to stop for a moment by your presentation.

You are so right, Chris. And by the way - I plan on getting a niche. Mongolian throat singing. It’s a work in progress 👍

Lol. You do make me giggle. I dabble at Mongolian throat singing only for fun - trying to copy what I hear. It’s hard and I can’t maintain it so It comes and goes. But I get the principle... I think. Don’t know if I am brave enough to share on my channel though. But you never know 😀

Thanks. At about 8:00 you say that you can use both mics at the same time for interviews, but that one person overwrites the other. Do you mean that you can't hear two voices at the same time? If one person is talking, you can't hear the other? If so, this system wouldn't work if two people are talking to one another, would it, for generally people are interfering one another when in dialogue. Thanks for answering!
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 3 года назад
Hi Ted. Thank you for your comment. A slight slip of the tongue. I should have said speak over rather than overwrite. You hear both voices. But it’s like when I hear people on the radio being interviewed and it gets heated and they start talking over each other and don’t let the other talk - not great to listen to. Hope that helps.

What a fun video i really enjoyed it so much. You have put such a smile on my face withbyour quirkyness. Awesome follow up to the original video and great answers to the questions. I think my comments should start changing frim praising your videos to asking high tech questions so we can see more follow ups. Brilliant. I find when i record directly into OBS i get a 133millisecond lag between audio and video, but the audio comes first and then the video follows. But you can fix that in OBS settings prior to recording. So tech question: how many mics can you setup on the boya transmitter?
@RenLuuk
@RenLuuk 4 года назад
Violet - you are so sexy when you talk tech 🥰🐓👍
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 4 года назад
First in again, V. Thank you. I am so pleased I made you smile. I can get a bit quirky at times when I get excited. Regarding the lag, this was the opposite, video first then the audio. Regarding your highly technical question... 32 😜. But in all seriousness, most mics should work with the transmitter. Did you notice how good the Rode Micro sounded compared to the lavalier? But you can't wear it of course which is the point of lavs and why we occasionally need them.

Actually the rode sounded like a podcast mic. I did not wear headphones but i am going to watch again with headphones on. The difference is day amd night. Pitty the other mic is powered because that would have been a very cool way to do an overhead rig. Have you tried it on an audio interphase with phantom power of 48v? I think it will sound amazing. 32 on the transmitter is amazing but i guess you need 32 belt sets then... Ka-ching! ££££

What kind of tripod did you use for the shotgun mic?
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 3 года назад
The two mini tripods I have are the Manfrotto Pixi mini tripod and the K&F Concept mini tabletop tripod. The manfrotto is fine for lighter cameras but the K&F can hold up to 15KG and will not move once set. Is great for larger cameras with big heavy lenses. Hope that helps.

In your first video, Boya's audio was very dark, muffled. In this video, however, it is very clear and bright. Did you intervene in post production?
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 4 года назад
Hi. Yes I adjusted it slightly in post. At the start of the video, I put some text up to show what I did to tweak the audio. Also, for this second video, we wore the mics in the proper position (on the sternum) whereas if the fist I put it on my hoddie collar. I think that also made a big difference.

Bro can I ask you if boya wireless microphone fit to any mobile phone and how to connect my phone is realme c 12 what cord I use to connect thnks bro
@ChristopherAlbone

Hi Noel. Great question., The realme C12 has a 3.5mm audio jack. The Boya comes with 2 cords - 1 for cameras and one for phones that will work with your phone. I hope that helps. Salamat.

To me, the boya microphones seem better than the Rode you connected during the video. The audio is better with the Boya Microphones. How long do the two AAA batteries last?
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 4 года назад
I prefer the sound of a shotgun mic over a lav one so will use a shotgun when i can. I am using rechargable AAA batteries and they last ages. I couldn't tell you how long they last for exactly.

Sir i have boya wm4.... during recording i got so much noise ,so is there any option to use it as dynamic mic or noiseless mic
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 3 года назад
As in the video, you can plug other mics into the transmitter to send the sound to the receiver. So maybe you could plug a dynamic mic in but I am not 100% sure. What noise were you getting? Ambient noises, interference?
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 3 года назад
The mics that come with the kit are omnidirectional so they are going to pick up some ambient noises. Also meant to ask, what situation are you using them in?
@alenimamo9050

Hello Chris! I just wanted to ask what are the two ports on the transmiter for. The "mic" one is to plug in the mic but what is the second one called "line in" for? Can you try it for me please? Thank you. By the way I'm using Saramonic Blink 500 B2 setup and I consider buying this Boya one also.
@ChristopherAlbone
@ChristopherAlbone 4 года назад
Hi Alen. I assumed the line in would be for another audio source but I too have wondered why I would use this. I will have a look and have a play and will let you know what I find. I have just looked at the Saramonic mics. They have good reviews. Do you like them?
@alenimamo9050
@alenimamo9050 4 года назад
@@ChristopherAlboneThank you for your time and help so far. And yes. By far I'm very pleased with the quality and of Saramonic Blink 500 B2 setup . The cons for me are: 1. No headphone output on the reciver so I have to plug in the headphones right into my camera 2. Not that long distance range. It can handle up to 17m or 50ft reliably. (Boya has longer range) 3. No display to measure the intensity both on the transmiter and reciver. It only has two buttoms for volume up and down on each transmiter (so you can set different intensity on each transmiter) and there are 4 levels. For example Rode Wireless GO setup has a display both on reciver and transmiter so you can see the volume in db while recording. You can also do that right in the camera but I consider it to be more confortable to have these option on both the the setup and camera. Pros: 1. Portability, size, shape 2. Price compare to Rode Wireless GO you get two transmiters with lavaliers for only 40€ extra 3. Transmiters both have inbuilt omnidirectional mics. That's all. Bye
