Great footage. Thanks. The support & affection Yuzuru received in Beijing is truly heartwarming. Kudos to all who made Yuzuru happy in Beijing. Friendship without borders.
Yuzuru received so much love & support from Chinese skaters, fans, & media. Yuzuru may not have won a medal, but he certainly won everyone's hearts. Yuzuru was happy in China. Thanks, China!
6:00 look how attentive Yuzu to his friends. I just love his character he's so polite and friendly. They're really happy and it gives me joy seeing this. thank you for the video
he was closer with the chinese athletes than japanese athletes and i think i know why. Shoma and Yuma definitely excluded him this olmypics, they didnt talk to him or they didnt even make an eye contact. I am not Yuzuru but i was heartbroken. Shoma didnt even deserve the bronze with his exhausting floops. At least go say congrats, bruh. He is 28 and he did fourth in his 3rd olympics. Im so mad about it. Jesus.
I wouldn't say it was just Shoma, the medallists were all overscored. Yes, there was the hole and his injury, Yuzu was still supposed to be on the podium based on accurate scoring. Shoma shouldn't have even made the podium, even in Pyeongchang he got a silver medal which he didn't deserve it but again he's jsf's fave. Yuma was overscored quite a lot too but he at least deserved a medal. Natty was overscored by at least 60pts at the olympics, shouldn't have won gold - not a surprise given how he has been pushed with candy scores the last few years. I'm no fan of Shoma for a number of reasons which includes his olys greenroom behavior and other idiotic things he had said and done but I don't think the japanese athletes excluded him (jsf was weird with him as usual) - I'm saying this coz I saw a lot of pics of Yuzu also spending time, having positive interactions and taking pics during gala practice with team japan. His pics and interactions with the chinese skaters got more viral in comparison and they definitely took him under their wing. They are also more natural and friendly with him, the ice dance duo are also the same age as him and they've been friends with him and supported him for many years (bing dwen dwen was also with them) whereas team japan are all consistent of juniors who are more in awe of him and they get super duper formal around him. He's a living legend, basically the face of figure skating, carried team japan for years as their senior, they hold him in very high regard and even in all their past interactions, you can see how awkward and formal they get around him. Hierarchy is a big thing in japan and it's part of their culture, although I don't think Yuzu is too particular about this stuff on his end. It's also Yuzu who would usually take more initiatives to break the ice or initiate jokes with his juniors.
Japanese media may have the full gala practice and this person posted some regular practice sessions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R8uPVuNqFa0.html
