boygenius performs Cool About It while the crowd displays a homemade rainbow live in concert at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada on June 21st, 2023. See my other videos for more from this concert.
I just realized after watching this way to many times that it looks like their keyboard player got emotional too :') it was really special moment I'm so glad I got to be a part of it
This is a moment of organization And ideas . Taking a simple pieces of paper . Getting it to audience members . Combining the tech we carry every day Creating a collective ,fleeting piece of art That's a lot of work
Watching her face when she first sees the rainbow-I swear it makes me cry absolutely every single time. 🥹🥺🌈 She is such a beautiful and talented human being. So grateful for her existence! 💙
I saw the show at Forest Hills, and it was remarkable... so much better than I even expected, but my only complaint is the singing along. Not the whole time, but for example when everyone screams during the curse word parts... "she called me a FUCKING LIAR"... it's really a mood killer. I think even Phoebe was like "whoa, that's weird." lol
I had always been a supporter of fans singing along at concerts, as it seems to be how some folks enjoy the show. Last year (at my 6th Phoebe show) a gentleman behind me said “I wish people would shut tf up so we could actually hear her.” At the time, I thought he was a bit harsh/rude, as I personally could still hear Phoebe just fine. These boygenius shows were NOT that. It was not casual singing along, it was abrasive SCREAMING. It truly ruined my enjoyment of multiple songs, as I could barely hear the boys over them at some points. It was really sad. 😢 *I was at their solo show in Arizona and re:SET in NY at Forest Hills.
