What a transformation? I stayed in this very new hostel (constructed in 1946)as a B Sc Ag degree student from 1965 to 1967 in room No 128 & 164 that time all the rooms were for single student only, no second person. In fact these rooms were constructed for single occupancy only. Cost? Rs 20/- PM that included hostel rent and tuition fee.

@@Tastebuster But dear, rooms in new hostel look like prison cells... walls defaced, cement plaster peeled off, bricks exposed, doors on both sides discoloured, glass panes missing. It looks no attention is given on maintenance and upkeep is poor. Those days professors used to live with families at each end of the wings doing the warden's job also. Old hostel looks better.
