If this is only a glimpse into what BSF has been working on then I have to say that they have now took an revolutionary leap in melodic hardcore music. That's what's great about BSF they have kept growing melodically and chaotically. The sneak peek of melodic material I heard is ions and beyond what has been done before with the band and just as if not even more impressive from what they have done in the past I am so stoked to hear new material . It's about time!
Whatever Boy Sets Fire has planned for the future it is going to be one of the best albums they have ever done. They have grown more then I could have ever imagine and now it seems that whatever those boys have been cooking up in the kitchen is going to be fucking delicious. I believe that I am heresy has exponentially expanded Nate's ability to manifest even more violent tones and time signatures with his voice. The lyrics are evermore potent and intense from what I can tell at this point-
I can see why the wanted to display the lyrics. Its easy to misunderstand some of the impressive vocabulary used in this song when its being screamed, but yeah it IS the same video to a different song and pictures.
you could also go as far as to say the vid reminds you of linkin parks what ive done to, but although all 3 are emotive and thought provoking, bsf's effort is by far the cleverest, especially when youve watched it the 5th or 6th time and see how the clips directly refer to the lyrics.
I didn't like their last 2 albums, but check out "the day the sun went out" (1997), "this crying, this screaming.." ep (1996), and "in chrysalis" ep (1998) for more stuff similar to this.
?? BSF has always been awesome at what they do. The last album was a little upset, I agree, but not because it was bad, or anything like that. It had songs that most rock bands would kill for.
