I noticed that since I first saw this movie on VHS. And I think you and wikipedia were the only ones who noticed that. People think they should do a remake of Cooley High and I think John Singleton already did that with Boyz n the Hood. And I remember John Singleton said Boyz n the Hood was his version of American Graffiti. Yes VHS folks! Missed it at the theaters.

Happy 30th Anniversary coming up for this wonderful gem. One of my all time faves! I have seen this movie so many times, that I can see a big crawling on the outside wall porch when Cube and Cuba talk at the end right before the credits. I even have a t shirt of the film.

I remember winning 2 tickets to see Boyz in Da Hood along w/ 2 tee shirts. Had to be the 109th caller at the radio station. Damn near wore my fingers down to nubs tryna win but I finally won! This movie is in my top 10 faves of all time. The GOAT of gangsta movies!

Ironic how ppl pay attention to only how they've aged and not the fact they had this dude play criminals and thugs In a movie where it influenced many to follow their steps and reenact it in irl when in reality these men were total opposites of the character they had play .
