I think sometime in the mid 70s, the Osmond brothers popularised this song.. - Boyzone's interpretation is equally perfect, i mean from the musicality of the song, they did not sort of murder the piece - like no raps in between, no bending of original tunes, - and the general rhythm makes it even more a perfect rendition. For some reason I remember this song ; I was going out with my Englishi boyfriend and recognized myself as “The happiest person in the whole world”.
