The nostalgia comes rushing in hearing this again for the first time in a long time. This song was very prominent in a great movie from this era named "Urban cowboy" starring John Travolta. It's worthy of a reaction itself 🔥
As others have mentioned, "Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle," and "Jojo" showcase a completely different side of Boz Scaggs. "We're All Alone" and "Harbor Lights" however, are more in line with this tune. ALL recommended.
One of the smoothest voices of all time! And it takes a confident professional to let the ladies take the spotlight like that. Certainly by this point in his career Boz had absolutely nothing left to prove. Saw him about a year ago; almost 80 and his voice is absolutely PERFECT!
For something very different from Boz Scaggs, but still excellent, you should check out either "Lowdown" or "Lido Shuffle" from his 1976 Silk Degrees album. I loved your reaction to this beautiful song performed by one of the greatest.
I kept thinking while listening to this........ It simply sounds perfect by the lyrics, the musical arrangement and of course the two angels at the end of the song. Stellar performance. I was more familiar with this song from the studio version... but this version is a masterpiece. Take care...
Boz Scaggs has an unusual voice that perfectly suits the music he makes. His song has wonderful production values with beautiful instrument selection backing him up, which is one of the things I miss from modern music.
I love this song, it brings me such great memories. Another excellent tune by Boz Scaggs and one of his first greatest hits is the upbeat "Lowdown" It is a very catchy unforgettable song!!
A stunning and beautiful song from Boz, I have loved this song for many years. I love the words and the stunning live performance with the 2 ladies ending it with a wow factor. I recommend you also try out "Were All Alone" for yet another beautiful song from this great musician songwriter. Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘❤❤🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵
Such a beautiful love song! ❤🔥 The studio version is even more romantic &🔥! Perfect for slow dancing in the moonlight. Andrei, you should learn the words & sing it to Dominika! That will make her melt for sure. 😉🥰
About 12 yrs ago, I was fortunate to see Boz Scaggs in concert. It was one of the best concerts I've been to, which slightly surprised me because the main reason we went to this concert was to see the other headliner, Michael McDonald. As Boz's set progressed, we were continually delighted and amazed at the number of terrific songs/hits he's had, but which we'd kinda forgotten about. The other thing that really stood out was the quality and caliber of his backup singers, and his generosity in highlighting them. In fact, these 2 backup singers may even be the same ones we saw. Going down the Boz Scaggs rabbit-hole will absolutely delight you. You could start with pretty much any (every) song from his album "Silk Degrees," but Lowdown is probably the best one to do next.
Boz is amazing! And this concert from the Great American Music Hall has several more songs you would love! Breakdown Dead Ahead Jojo Miss Sun But you simply must hear songs from his 1976 iconic album, Silk Degrees: Lowdown Lido Shuffle Georgia What Can I Say And check out Boz and Duane Allman (guitarist with the Allman Brothers) and their recording of Loan Me a Dime. It will transport you to another world!
Having seen other songs from this concert I knew the backing vocalists were fantastic. I had not seen this song before. How great of Boz to let the ladies shine their light. Thanks for sharing! ☮💛🎶
This song was played in the movie Urban Cowboy back in the 80s I think. Starring John Travolta and Deborah Winger. It’s a beautiful old classic love song and it’s still beautiful today. Thank you, I always love the way the two of you react to the music from the past. You’re both so genuine.♥️🌹🎶
From the great movie, Urban Cowboy. Plenty of great ones by Boz, like , Jojo, Georgia, Harbor Lights, It’s Over, What Can I Say and many more. This live recording is later in his career so his voice is a bit rough, but still awesome.
This recording was more recent, decades after the recording came out, still sounds great. He had lots of hits, including upbeat and R&B hits which sound different…this is one of his big hits
Live version is so goooooood! We hear Boz Scaggs on the Sirius XM station we most enjoy listening to in our house. I love it when a singer sounds every bit as good live as they do recorded. This was GREAT!!
Thanks for reacting to Boz. So many good songs! So many. Try”Slow Dancer”,”What do you want the girl to do?”,”HarbourLights”…and on and on.His albums are so good. Thanks again.
The Boz Scaggs album " Silk Degrees" has some great music on it, if you want to react to more from him. Some mellow songs and some more uptempo funk songs.
Again since you seem to be in the mood for sentimental songs and the like; why not try a little Boz Scaggs. He covers 40 plus years of music here in the US starting with Steve Miller Band and striking out on his own. including work with Booker T & the MGs. Booker T. & the M.G.'s formed as the house band of Stax Records, providing backing music for numerous singers, including Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding. Booker T. Jones (This will be a first for many of your listeners and might give you an interesting reaction to view) "Slowdancer" is a real hit from one of his early albums but here is alive version a few years back. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P9bJmAt_6s8.html Boz Scaggs-Booker T and The MG's - As the Years Go Passing By ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EiP8KLGcqkk.html
