As someone who lives with severe fibromyalgia daily, yes I would definitely pay that for a crochet hook. It's worth it to have less pain while crocheting. I use Furls and I love them.

Those hooks are exquisite, and I LOOOOVE that they use the Clover Amour hooks. Paying $44 per hook isn’t unreasonable but it is a bit out of my price range. I could see myself buying a few in my favorite sizes but probably not an entire set. 💕

Those are beautiful hooks :) I ordered several different hooks to replace my overused H crochet hook. The most I spent on one was the Clovers at that time was around $8-$10. It was a waste of money because I had no luck crocheting with them. I would have bought a Furls Hook but too expensive. As much as I like the ones you have, no way could I ever or would ever be able to spend that much money on a hook. The main reason is I would expect to be able to crochet with it after spending $44, unfortunately there is no guarantee. Enjoy your new hooks sweetie!!!

Omg these are exquisite!! The woods look beautiful!! The zebra hook is my favorite!! I have no problem treating myself to a good hook especially if it fits comfortably in my hand!!

The handles of the hooks are designed to look like the bishop piece on a chess board. If you look at the bishop on a chess board or look at a pic you can see that the design on the top of the hook looks exactly like the design on the top of the bishop. Now that I think about it... The B in the logo probably stands for bishop. Just thought I’d point that out. Edit: yea never mind. It’s the queen.

They are beautiful hooks but there is no way I would spend that much on a crochet hook. I'm sure they are labor-intensive to make, I just couldn't justify the expense.

Gorgeous! Yes, the price is steep, but there's always Christmas and my birthday for me to treat myself. It's actually not that bad of a price when you think about how much a skein of yarn costs (not from the commercial store [then there's the question of how many skeins you need for that sweater/top, so....}) and like you said, it's an investment that will last years. I think I would start with the size I use most and grow my collection from there, though, honestly, I'd probably only get like 3. I'm not a very diverse yarn-weight kind of crafter but I do plan on doing this until death parts me from my yarn.

They offer a hook that honestly looks on par, and better, than Furl’s. I’d totally pay $44 for a hook like this. Such a smart investment with the clover hook/tip, too! I have one amore hook and love it.

I know this episode was from a couple of years ago, but I'm glad I found it. Off the bat - I would NOT pay that. BUT (1) HANDMADE; (2) they just moved to Colorado - me, too! - so gotta support local; (3) I don't crochet as much as I knit HOWEVER I would pay that for handmade needles, so... 🤩😁

At least they are way cheaper than the Nelson hooks. Since I am a pen holder crocheter, they are too thick to be able to use them however they are really nice.

These are beautifully crafted. I worked exterior stucco for years , I learned the hard way that quality tools are worth every penny.

🌸Hello again back to see the grain colours again. I received my first order (Zebra & Rosewood) and they are beautiful and ergonomically spot on! Going to purchase a lace weight on Nov 1st...think I’ll choose the Yucatán Rosewood on *(or) the white wood which isn’t shown in this video but I saw it in another video from your channel. I’m hoping your getting a kickback from this and thanks again...see u in the FB Group🌸

I once spent $50 for a Furls Candy Shop hook in my favorite size for worsted-weight yarns (a J/6mm) as a Mother's Day present for myself (well, maybe the hubby typed in the credit card information, but it's a shared account). It's a very pretty hook, although I tend to use Furls' newer/less expensive Streamline hooks ($16-22 each) more, partly because I could afford to get them in multiple sizes, so I can use them in a wider variety of projects.

Those hooks are gorgeous. They look a little short though, I have long fingers and the short hooks make my hands hurt. A good book is an investment.

I just saw this and went to website. A notice said updates on site are postponed. They lost their house in a fire. You can still buy online. I want at least one so. bad. But $65 = a dark beautiful 4.5mm I looked at and sooo…crochet hook sadness. But they are breathtaking

nah I wouldn't pay that much for just one hook... I already think I paid too much for my clover amour hooks haha but honestly I love them and I am happy to crochet with them as long as they will last me :) they are the best in my opinion, bright pretty colours, very pleasant to the touch and they glide through the yarn like a dream :) But I am curious to purchase just one all wooden hook just to try :) I found this awesome shop on etsy where they make them for around 20€ wooden ergonomic hooks, might try one of these one day :)

The only thing that would make it a perfect set for me is if one was purpleheart! Gorgeous! I would definitely pay for them. My husband is a woodworker & I know what goes into making something like these. When he gets a lathe, that may be my first request!

Okay, I love crocheting but I refuse to pay more than $50+ for a set of hooks. It just seems like a waste of money. Sorry Toni but I don’t get it. They’re pretty hooks but the price? Absolutely not.

I believe the price has to do with the fact that they’re hand-turned. A hand-turned wood pen will run you about the same amount of money, and they’re a fairly comparable thing. It boils down to how much work goes into making them. Obviously, they’re not going to be affordable or reasonable for everyone, but the price does reflect the craftsmanship
