This particular musical arrangement was penned by Col. Jim Magee, formally conductor of the Band of the Western Command and subsequently became Director of the Irish Army School of Music. A sensitive rendition by the Band of the Irish Defence Forces. Beautiful !.
Bandsman Pat could you please post the "A Celtic Lament" Irish Funeral march tune (incorporating Lord Lovett's lament, the Croppy Boy and Wrap the Gren Flag Round Me Boys) by Col. Jim Doyle also played by the Irish Defence forces band especially at the National Day of Commemoration service and State Funerals and the tune played at Charles J. Haughey's state funeral as his remains left the Church to the hearse. Thanks
