I have had a roomba vacuum for a few years and my dog will watch it, but he is used to it. I got my Braava today and my boy went crazy. He also barked at it for about 20 minutes, than guessed that this was another thing in his life and chilled out.
Brilliant tutorial, I’m about to use mine for the first time tomorrow, can’t wait. Yes the machine is expensive but I’m in my seventies so after 55 years of working I thought what the heck I deserve it. Hope all you other guys get yours soon 🪣🧽
I've been waiting for this review! Thanks, Kay! I actually prefer the gray pad so it never looks dirty 😁 I'm going to have to look into that cleaning solution. I'm very picky about ingredients. Not that I would purchase this any time soon but definitely something to research before making any final decisions. Knowing me, if I did get it, I would STILL make my own cleaning solution 🙈 And yes, give me all the robots too if they clean for me! 😁 Thanks again, Kay! ❤❤❤
I haven’t looked at the ingredients yet but definitely use it or water and NOTHING ELSE. I think certain substances will breakdown the integrity of the wheels or other parts. Water works fine though!
I just purchased mine from Bed Bath & Beyond specifically so that I could use one of the 20% discount coupon that we normally get in the mail. If you download the Bed Bath & Beyond app and set up a free account you can also access these coupons for online purchases, which is what I did.. the app also allows you to scan in paper coupons that you get in the mail from Bed Bath & Beyond as well. In addition this week the price has gone down from 499 to 449, so after the 20% discount was applied, I ended up paying about $380 after taxes, and shipping was free. The total savings was about $140 plus the free shipping. I'm looking forward to testing it out when it arrives. Excellent review by the way. Thanks for sharing!
YES THANKS SO MUCH FOR TELLING DERECK THAT IM SO SO SO SO GREATFUL. And its really hard to ecpress gratitude through a screen when A youtube doesnt tell you when you when you post. Not your fault. Thanks so much again your so so so kind i so much appreciate it. I love your show so much!!!!!!!!!✌🏻💜💜
Thank you, it’s great to hear you like it! We’ve just ordered the S9 vacuum and m6 brava combo and am excited for delivery. The only concern I have is the wifi connectivity in the far reaches of our house is currently acting up and remains spotty. Do you know if it’s the base/dock that talks to the cloud, or the robot mop/vacuum? If it’s just the base that needs wifi...that’s a better situation 😅. Thanks again for your review!
One of the most realistic "unboxings" I've seen. Is the recommended solution half the bottle? The reason I ask is it seemed like a small bottle of solution. Thanks for your honest evaluation.
It was a “sample bottle” and after having it for a while now I finally purchased a regular sized bottle and it lasted for a long time! I don’t know honestly if it’s actually worth it but I guess they got me with that placebo effect 🤣
I'm thinking of maybe getting one for my soon to be Hubby for Christmas. He vacuums daily but we both hate mopping. I think this would be awesome. Yay for cleaning robots! I had a Roomba about 12 years ago but I had WAY too much stuff in my house for it to get around. My current house would work great. Looks like I need to save up 😁
I have my eyes on the other model hey just released, the one that memorizes your house and you can just direct him to just certain rooms. I love the roombas! And love your reviews!!
Wow! When you made this review the i7+ was $1300!! Now you can get it for $800! and the m6 for $449! And if you get then together you get 10% on the roomba
I have a few question... 1. Water storage capacity? 2.How many sq ft coverage of cleaning solution? 3. How long it will take to sweep n mop for avg 100 sq ft? 4. How many sq ft coverage of Washable sweeping n moping pad life ?
@@TheOrganizedSoprano You have to take care of your mom. :) She is always complaining to me about how hard it is to keep her floors cleaned, and how she ends up sweeping 2-3 times a day. So I figured a roomba would help her a lot. She's talked about wanting one in the past, but said they were too expensive.
My husband hates your channel.. cause I see something and I'm like a kid.. woooo I need that. He saw this with me and right off the bat . No .. you don't need that.. haha but I definitely bneed a Roomba
Liliana Trevino LoL tell me about it, I see something new and shinny and just got to have it 😆. Amazon my best friend and worst enemy hahaha. Luckily I can have packages delivered directly to the trunk of my car 😝, no one will know I bought anything.
You don’t have to set up if you don’t want. Just add water and press clean so it will clean the entire home. The set up is only if you want to pick rooms to clean and excludes others and to control the water spray.
The time these things take to mob or vaccum, i would have reached Mexico and back. I got ill so sometimes i get tired because of meds si during recovery im trying to find ways to cut my work load but boy this thing is slow and it has a maintenance cost so since i am the leader of cheap people i am considering the old fashion way
I contacted my floor manufacturer, and they told me to not use a Braava because it can damage wood floor over time, you should never spray liquid on a wood floor... even if iRobot tell you it's safe to do
Nice info! Two doubts 1. You can use a drop of bleach mixed with water directly in the tank of the Braava M6. 2 In my Braava there is a coupling problem you would know how to solve it. Thank you, congratulations on the video provided.
I bought one for my dad for father'd day, we have trained it a couple times so far, but will give it a few more training sessions. I was curious about the solution, is it possible to just use a bit of warm soapy water when the bottled solution that is in the package is gone?
Thanks for this review Kay, have been looking forward to seeing what you think, as I bought a Roomba 890 and a Bravva Jet robot after watching your channel a few months ago (before we got our own little cavvie pup!) Snow looks mighty fine, but my concern is that she is rather large. One thing I love about the Braava Jet is that it is so tiny, it goes places I've never been, (like behind the toilet!)I don't think this big brother would get around there. Also I wondered about it being so hands off as surely you still need to fill the tank and change and wash the mop head after every use. I kinda felt that the Roomba should dock and charge etc but with the mop it wasn't really necessary because you still need to sort out all that stuff each time? Does it tell you when you need to refill the tank? Love the look of her, but not sure it's that much more useful than the Braava Jet really. Really interesting that they have gone with the squirt and mop feature that the Braava Jet has rather than the other version that you used to have, where you just fill the reservoir and it makes the pad damp? I always kinda worried that was the better way around and I missed out on that with the cheaper model but super pleased to see that they have switched over to this method. I worry that the squirter will get all garmed up as the water is quite hard here.... time will tell. Now all we need is a lawn mowing robot iRobot and our lives will be complete! ;-) (Poor Clover does not look impressed, hope they make friends soon!) xx
The Braava 380t isn’t worth it anymore with this around. Mine kind of bugged out anyway. It’s about the same size but you’re right about it NOT being able to fit in the same places the regular jet can since it’s 10” wide BUT, it is rather hands off. I only have to fill the tank maybe every 4 cycles? It will let you know via the app when it needs to be filled. It’s very smart. And Clover is over his suspicion of the robot LOL. It only lasted about 5 minutes but I was so happy to catch his initial reaction on film 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Edited to add: The lawnmower robot is COMING SOON! It’s called the Terra LOL
Anne Wright I am looking forward to getting the smaller Braava Jet 240, like the smaller size so it can fit behind the toilet. The m6 tries sooo hard to get there but fails 😔. Another thing the Braava Jet 240 has a vibrating mopping head and a sprayer 👍🏻
I want it but not sure if it’s reliable enough for my home we have almost 3 thousand square feet plus a set of stairs. Let us know how it’s cleaning after a few times.
It’s very reliable. If it needs to charge during a job it will just go back to its charger and resume when it has enough battery. I’ve run it 13 times so far and it’s been great each time. As far as I know it avoids stairs just like every other iRobot machine.
Plus you can have it clean one or two rooms a day. So it will never need to stop And recharge. Just say Braava clean the kitchen depending on the size of kitchen it will probably take 30 to 40 minutes and then go back and completely recharge and wait for the next schedule.
Just an FYI....did you know that these robots (which I love the idea of) actually transmits your space dimensions and furniture placement to the NSA where all of our email, texts, phone calls are stored? We have no privacy! Oh, yeah, it's all transmitted through your phone.
The camera pointing into the Air is not even very wrong and weird its total illegal, when all the work can also be done with laser, it is very sure that these cameras are not build to help for nativagtion and detection.
Kay, do you still like the m6 better than the 380t? My 380t is not working as well and I'd like to buy a new one, but I'm torn between buying another 380t or upgrading to the m6. Thank you!
Great video, I really love my m6. I agree with you the washable pads never look dirty. I think that’s what I robot was shooting for so they don’t look dirty but I definitely get your point. Only problem gripe that I have is the tire marks it leaves behind? Have you noticed this at all? P.s there was a new software pushed to the m6 I believe today. Check to see if yours was updated today or last night.
Normal run time for our place is about an hour and 16 minutes. It touches about 250 sq feet since we have a large living room rug and it doesn’t go in the closet/bathroom
it doesnt seem to be really smart to put all this features with docking feature backing to dock when you need to manually refill the water tank before each time. that's really a downside compared to the new roomba with emptying the trash after use they just needed to connect that to some kind of resovier with bottle to refill it for you
Eitan Toogendhaft I agree still have to change out the mopping pad and rinse out the water tank. There a new Mopping Robot coming out by Narwhal Robotics, has self cleaning pads and can pre wet the pads as well, a fully automated Robot Mop 🥳
Hi KK, I've been listening to your podcast and today I listened to the poop episode with Sarah. OMG I laughed so hard. Wanted to ask; Derek samples a mans voice "Hi I'm just listening". Is that Yves? Please explain.
Kiki The Wonder Dog would annihilate that robot! My regular vacuum has teeth marks on the wheels, my shredder has claw marks on it and my printer just stopped working, probably because it's afraid of KTWD.
Looks like I need to save up 😁
Katy Lyons They have differently improved from 12 years ago. There are a lot of great smart robot vacuums for around $300. Roombas tend to be more but they last a long time and have good support.
I love this video. I just got the brava M6 today to my birthday. Didn’t use it yet but it is feels good to have it as my new cleaning devise. I really fed up to clean the apartment. I like clean place without doing the job. Lol. So listening to this video, it is kind of validation to my purchase and I can’t wait using it. 🌟🙏🏻🌈
