Beautiful cars! We had 3 of them with different colors in our Warehouse at the Airport recently... But I will never understand why it's called Rocket like the Mercedes... Makes no Sense!😜
Shmee, have you ever considering adding a brabus product to your collection? The endless customization and the extravagant design is quite from your alley. Plus they specialize of the brands that you like
11:10 "People here have incredible Lane Etiquette" Yes! We Germans do, this is why having parts of the Autobahn with no Speed Limits works as well as it does. I remember the first time i drove a Car in the USA (and everytime after that) it was an absolute Nightmare, everyone overtakes from any Lane at any Speed, it was crazy. Americans always tell me that's because getting a License in the USA is not even remotely difficult and anyone even inebriated could pass their License Test and that explains it all Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
People think they're going fast relative to the speed limit posted and plug up the passing lane because they're going slow relative to the traffic on the road
@@joshflorence1998 that’s a lie. Only car they truly ruin is the Ford GT. Plus you have ti keep in mind that most of what you see is customer requested vehicles.
@@gaara4667 "The customer is always right in matters of taste" I guess... But really, in my opinion, they have never improved the look of a car, and I find their chopped carbon fiber very unappealing. Their aero-blade wheels do look cool, but their body kits are way over the top and 9 times out of 10, spoil the lines of the car. All of that being said, this is all my own taste and opinion. I prefer clean and understated body-kits, or none at all. If I owned a Rocket 900 R, like this, i'd definitely wrap it or paint it in a nice blue. I agree that the 'all black' thing they tend to do is too much.
Just saw my first ever Brabus in person, a G V12, and it was broken down in downtown Vancouver with flashers on and hood up 😂 Not the best start to the day for the owner
So it’s great in a straight line, but how good is it in the twisty stuff? I’ve always put Brabus in the same group as Mansory, overpriced ugly looking cars.
I am not the greatest of fans BUT, the following observation is astounding: "The undramatic nature of incredible speed, not getting to the V Max. You're not doing 100% throttle but knowing what the car can do, what it is capable of, is what is interesting." Unscripted, no interruption, continuous narrative of observation and comparison, is quite something.
Most cars with above 200-250 hp are immensely overpowered for real-road use, even though they may be technological marvels. The performance is simply unusable unless you race it around a racetrack or disused airport - yes, we all drive on these on a daily basis! The available acceleration on modern super- & hyper-cars and many saloons, especially EV's, makes many drivers and almost all passengers feel physically ill and is unusable on real roads. I recall a real-world road-test that "Car" magazine did in the mid-80's (when roads were less congested than today) using a Porsche 911, Ferrari Dino, and a Peugeot 205 GTI with 105 hp - to drive as fast as possible from John-O-Groats to Lands End whilst ignoring speed limits etc. The time difference between the winning and slowest car over the ~ 850 miles was only a few minutes. In my experience the slowest-driven cars on real roads are very often these vastly overpowered vehicles - they are simply too wide, too low, too expensive, and their drivers are often too nervous to use even half the available performance (never-mind speed limits) - and spend most of the time virtually "shitting" themselves 🙂
Came from a Brabus S Class video thinking "if only they built Porsches", and here I am, wow. I drive a 500 hp Audi TT which is also 4WD and has a super stiff suspension, and indeed the most fun is country roads, I hardly ever push it on the Autobahn.
2 centimeters by 6 centimeters of carbon fibre a plastic or Fibre glass extension Maki g it 4 centimeters wider a 1 centimeter by 2 centimeter piece added here there a extra 700,000 bucks lmao what useless nonsense
1:48 i dont know what to think about those "excuses" i mean in 1995 the Mclaren F1 already drove 391 kmh ... and now in 2024 they need to limit it to 340kmh to "preserve" the tires? So many cars nowadays go over 360kmh already .. sometimes even big family sedans. I see no reason why this car needs to be limited to 340. I mean if u have money for this car, u also have money for the right tires, right?
Just wow. Best looking Porsche i've ever seen (maybe apart from the 918 Spyder). Usually most supercars are flashy and over the top with screaming colors. That's not my thing. But this is EXACTLY how i would spec mine out if i ever had the money.
Shmee150 Great Video I'm glad you had a great time driving that Absolutely Incredible 900 Rocket R and I think it's awesome that you went 188 MPH on the Autobahn and I can't wait to see what's coming in the future
It's cool, but personally, i would take a standard turbo s and take it to 9ff. Give it a 1000 hp and have a "sleeper" 911 if you can call a 911 turbo s a sleeper.
When are we going to have some Shmuseun content Tim? I really think getting a team on board back at base for fun and banter is required! As a big fan of the channel since the very beginning, I think it needs a bit of a refresh and maybe move away from the repetitive garage tours. I feel like I’ve seen every car in the world twenty times over (meant with respect and appreciation).
The Turbo-Rocket R is absolutely Mindblowing (for me: especially the bodywork!), if I had the money for this beauty I wouldn’t have hesitated a minute.
I think it looks terrible. It's not cheap but looks very cheap and random. A bit like an old Honda built to be a "show car" with lambo doors and neon lights🤢 Would feel embarrassed driving that car
Poor choice on their part not putting any protection over those radiators. If they had any experience with motorcycle, they'd know you should guard those better.
Every time a beautiful and informative video. I notice that you sit very close to the steering wheel. The ideal sitting position and steering position is with slightly bent elbows. In principle, you can steer better. Anyway, I noticed this. Again, always fun videos to watch !
Lost me after the first 2 minutes. It’s limited to 213mph when the bone stock turbo S can almost hit 210mph wit enough space?? It looks cool I guess, but what’s the point?? I guess you can always tune it to remove the limiter but why spend money at Brabus?? Why would someone spend so much for this slightly riced 900hp Turbo S when Jamie at Officially gassed, as well as tons of other people, have 900+ WHP (not crank)?? Honest questions
Shmee mate, , you’ve got your Lambos, McClarens, Ferraris, Ford GT etc! Which a lot of RU-vidrs talk about and It becomes a bit Groundhog Day, just being honest not insulting , Now you’ve just woke up smelt the coffee mate Now the BRABUS tore up the rule book ! And made the impossible ; Possible, 25 years I drove one at 200 mph in Germany, In a borrowed Brabus; . You need to drive there older Brabus GL SUV, , there tech guy assured me it could do over 200moh ? Enjoy
I've watched this more than a dozen times for this, to me, is The Complete Tim Burton encapsulated into one video. Damn he's good. As soon as I've posted this, I'm watching the Brabus factory vid for only the second time and yes, there are also vids I'll never watch. Life's funny that way. With Much Respect and Gratitude A Subscriber.
Not sure what I think about this aesthetic. Wheels are a definite no, I understand it’s about aero, but still nope. The design language seems confused. Cohesive but confused in total. The 911 has always been a feminine design in my mind. This kind of removes that in a non flattering way. It’s like the original AP code 1159 watch. Every detail accounted for. Premium. Precise. But when you step back and look at the over all design in full, it’s a miss. 🤷🏼♂️
A weaponised Turbo S, for sure, with some interesting engineering underneath. But way uglier than the 'standard' car, IMHO. Still, I'm glad that Brabus and their ilk exist for my guilty pleasures...😊
Very nice! And let’s be honest…Brabus have to widen their lineup, because should Mercedes, Range Rover etc. actually go fully EV…there’s not much left to do for Brabus. Great, professional video as always! Best wishes
Exterior is 10 out of 10, interior is a bit 90's with it's quilted look and the pebble look leather on the steering wheel and doorcards is awwwwful, just my opinion of course others may love it, for performance if i had the dollar i'd take my 911 Turbo S to ES Motors and they'd do a performance mod Brabus could only dream of for the money and it would still look like a normal Turbo S 👌
Love the car Would go for a wilder color interior - maybe McLaren orange seat inserts on a black car I wonder if some of the "movement" you spotted at speed - is a 911 characteristic, the engine at the back means the front gets a bit bouncy at speed on models without heavy aero - Turbo's and Turbo S' included.....
I feel like id consider a standard 911 turbo S hypercar fast, this is something else entirely. The regular turbo S' claimed 0 to 60 is 2.7, and we've consistently seen those hitting 2.2 to 2.3 stock. This thing has to be 2 flat or quicker with warm tires.
$500,000.00 +/- dollars? What's it going to be worth in 10yrs, Warren Buffett drives a 10yr old Cadillac. Only a fool would drive that little box at 200 mph.
I’m a Brabus fan and I’ve been one since 2002 Essen motorshow. I don’t like this car. Whoever designed the front wheel fender should understand this won’t be beautiful 20y from now. It’s disgusting, you don’t touch the Porsche look of the headlights going into the fender.
My god it that an utterly ugly monstrosity. The Birmingham and blacked out spec fit quite well in this perspective. And I am afraid, the thick and quilted leather everywhere makes it look just chintzy, imo.
I actually like this Braubus. It just clean and non flashy.I love my 2016 turbo 911. Could not have waited on the turbo s then. I’m never going to sell this car.Hand it down to one of my kids.
I'm usually not a big fan of the types of "modded" cars. They look too over the top for me, especially considering the timeless design of a 911. However, I do enjoy this car, for some reason.
Can you find a Techart GT3 or GT3RS or the GTstreet R next please Mr Shmee best looking Porsches are from Brabus and Techart at the minute I’d like the know the comparison
Why has there not been a Barbus, Notivtec, mansory and etc vehicle as a Smhee vehicle ? Bad resale numbers? Reliability? Bad financing options? Seems like a obvious fit car wise
Am I the only one who thinks leather floor mats are the most ridiculous thing? “Yes Brabus I’d like to spend a fortune on something to drag my dirty gritty shoes over”🤦🏻♂️
I don’t like that this company got rid of the Porsche branding. It’s not their car, they are just tuning the car and making functional and visual changes. It’s not like they built this car from the ground up.
The quality of the product needs no further comment but the bonnet.. ;) it doesn´t suit the car and maybe it´s kind of a prototype or export version former ones shown by Brabus had all a stock bonnet...
Am I the only person who this all that body kit doesn’t look nearly as good as the stock car? And the interior too, especially that weird quilted leather. Porsche does the perfect combination of sporty and elegant; this looks like it was designed by a teenager after too many energy drinks.
This Guy pulling over at 19:52 really pissed me off. Way to many shit drivers on the Autobahn like him don't even think about faster cars behind themselves
This beautiful car, and the handling on the autobahn was just impressive. One little detail though, it would have been nice to also have integrated headrests for the back seats. Otherwise I enjoyed the video
I can see from watching the video only ( obviously ) … the car is swinging from side to side when in high speeds… didn’t seem stable. It’s me or what??? ❤
