This is a quick, focused brachial plexus examination which can be performed in 5 minutes or less. This is more relevant for trainees sitting for the fellowship exams like FRCS (Plast)/FRCS(Orth) or the British or European Hand Diplomas.
In the clinical setting in real life, a brachial plexus examination is significantly longer and would involve testing all upper limb muscles, grading according to BMRC 1-5 and a comprehensive sensory examination.
